Disappointing. The effects of the Covid restrictions are showing. The prior Japanese efficiency and attention to detail are absent. Still OK but no longer as special as it was. Hopefully as they recover from the lock down more of the old charm will return.

Went to eat with family they were prepared to seat us. My cousin asked some questions for understanding. After asking questions, less than 2 minutes. They told us they would not seat us and there were empty seats. I would not go ever again to this place, I was so disgusted

This Japanese restaurant has been around for years. Located on the 3rd. floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center almost in the middle, it offers an assortment of seating areas including some with a view. They offer a wide range of Japanese classics made and served in very traditional fashion. Lunch specials offer you the same great food of the evening, slightly reduced prices. If they have a special menu, it is usually a seasonal special and I recommend trying it for the experience as you won't see it again. It offers you a great tasting as a good price that normally would cost you a lot more if you attempted something similar through the regular menu. The food is all freshly prepared and elegantly presented in traditional and appropriate Japanese fashion. The service was very attentive and polite from start to finish. If you appreciate Japanese food and the traditions around it, I this is the place for you.

Went to Jttrd for their grand opening. Their space is towards the back of the hall but easy to find. The employees were polite and seemed nice....but they didnt seem that they were trained well. I asked what the name meant and they didn't know. I asked if they had samples to try the different colored juices and they said that they didnt have cups to give samples in...oh well.So we went in blind.I tried the 'red color' juice which was supposed to be raspberry and pineapple. I tasted raspberry, but didn't taste pineapple. It is $6 for 12oz of juice, but that is not actually correct. They put ice into your cup so there is 30% less juice for sure....and it wasn't the best tasting juice. Not for you if you are looking for something sweet. We also got an art smoothie for $12. We watched as the drink was made for you, which is cool, but half the drink is premade. They premake the cup with basil seeds instead of Chia seeds (we couldn't taste the difference), the yogurt and fruit on the sides of the cup. The part that is done to order is pouring in the juice in and decorating the top.It tasted ok, but definitely more 'ig worthy', than anything else. I think there is room for improvement here. Spending $18 on two juice smoothies that didn't taste exceptional is a problem. Hopefully, they will improve on their concept, menu, and flavors.

This smoothie cafe is located in the new Waikiki Food Hall at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. One of 8 tenants, JTRRD serves up the most instagram-able smoothies. I had a feeling these beauties would be only skin deep, but I'm so glad I was wrong. We tried the yellow art smoothie and a green juice smoothie and both were very tasty. For the art smoothie, you just pick a juice color and leave the rest to JTRRD in turning it into a work of art. At $12, I'm not sure if we will return but we are glad to have tried it.

Got the smoothie art for $12. A bit pricey and small portioned, but pretty for pictures. The smoothies are pre-made, so the drink was more room temperature than cold and refreshing if it was made fresh. I think I would not have minded the price if the smoothie was made fresh. My favorite part was the chia pudding and yogurt at the bottom.

Found this place at the new food court at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. I was intrigued by this cute artsy smoothie shop. I ordered the Pink Smoothie and watch girl work her magic. The texture and flavors were good. It is pricey for the size but it's expected If you're in Waikiki.

Also known as a "Food Art Gallery," JTRRD is located in the Waikiki Food Hall at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. The $12 price tag for the 'Art Smoothie' was a bit shocking at first, but then I remembered I was in Waikiki! I also justified this price based on a $12 latte I recently paid for at Cafe Lola in Las Vegas, which was also gimmicky but a complete rip off. The JTRRD Art smoothie won me over, but I probably wouldn't order it again, because I already got my photo! ;-)Looks like the cafe originates from Japan, with shops located in Osaka and Kyoto. The food artists behind the counter also appear as if they are from Japan, and they've got some skills! They're nice and friendly, too.The design of the Art Smoothie is up to the food artist, but as the customer, you get to choose a color. The menu describes a rainbow of colors, and I chose GREEN, which constitutes spinach, pineapple, banana, peach, milk, and green tea. There's a layer of yogurt and basil seeds, too. It was good. Green and healthy. It was a nice treat after my morning walk around Diamond Head. Just wish the smoothie was served super cold. The glass is pretty small, but larger than a double shot. Haha! It must also be returned after you're finished drinking the healthy concoction. I must admit, it was a bit therapeutic drinking the green thing while sitting at the large open window, listening to the birds chirping and the palms swaying.Welcome to paradise....where nothing is really cheap!

Just went here , paid $20.00 for 3 extremely small smoothies. All 3 of us are sick and my daughter was throwing up before she even drank half . Smoothies are premixed and poured out of a container . Not recommended

Average flavor. You're paying for the presentation and the Instagram post. $12+ and small portions.

What an absolutely fabulous restaurant. We had to wait 30 minutes to get in and were a bit anxious but that all went away pretty quickly as our waiter was professional and efficient. Food was quite fast to come out and was outstanding. My wife and I had salmon yaki 9.50, salmon belly 8.00, soft shell tempur 7.00, island tempura 13.00, wafu steak (amazing) 24.00, rice 2.50, plus wine and tea. Total bill 91.50 us. Can not recommend this place enough. Best best meal in Hawaii.

Located on the top floor of Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center with other restaurants, it is quite convenient. It is sub-divided into teppanyaki and washoku section. We visited two times in 3 days. We ordered sukiyaki, rice bowl with eel, teriyaki chicken, hot plate beef, and cod fish. One disappointment is the rice is not as good as expected, though is still good. The teriyaki chicken is not stir fried but more like deep fried. Taste wise very close to authentic dishes in Japan. Portion is reasonable as well as price. Service is of course typical Japanese high level.

We hosted some business clients at Suntory for dinner and were very impressed, as were our guests! As a frequent visitor to Japan, we are fairly critical of Honolulu Japanese restaurants, but Suntory never disappoints! The service is excellent, the food superior and VERY reasonably priced considering the quality fare. We chose the specials, which were priced at $35-40.00 and excellent. We most often utilize Suntory for lunches, but we will try to get here more often for dinner, I recommend Suntory very highly!

We went for dinner with some friends and had teppanyaki. The seafood and steak/lobster courses were reasonable and filling. We also added the garlic fried rice. Along with appetizers and dessert we rolled ourselves out of the restaurant.

The teppanyaki at Suntory is great! I would recommend getting the full Suntory Teppanyaki set to be able to try a lot of Japanese cuisine!
