Had lunch at this cosy place on Christmas Eve. Ordered beef pho (soup) and grilled pork vermicelli, iced coffee and lemon grass tea. Excellent food! Generous portions. Reasonable price. Totally satisfied.

it is delicious. Beef Combination Pork & Pork Banh Mi is just the right amount for two people. The prices were $16 and $11, respectively.

I lived in SF for a few decades and always went to the same pho place (over 75 yelp checkins from me) Unfortunately it didn't make the impact of COVID. Are here and it was great service and great food. Pho was really tasty. Small place and typical of Honolulu Chinatown restaurants. Would recommend.

Best Bun Rieu iʻve tried in Honolulu so far. I love all the veggies, Bloodcake, & soft fried tofu. It def makes Bun Rieu complete with these. Service is also so friendly and a family own business.

Went In for lunch after going round Chinatown. Ordered seafood and stew beef noodles, seafood rice, fried rice + pork chop rice. Great food. Attentive waitress who keeps on filling up our cup with cold drinking

Best pho we had considering we are from mainland. Broth is flavorful and not salty. Portion and price are very reasonable. Family business and service is amazing. Highly recommended. Super clean is a big plus!!!

We are from San Jose, CA and their BBH is very good.

On a mission to try all the Vietnamese restaurants in China Town, and all of Oahu. I've found my new favorite summer roll! I don't even care that the rice paper tore because it had yummy pork and shrimp and the peanut sauce had great flavor. The vermicelli bowl also had a lot of food and great flavor. I will definitely be back to try to pho and bunbohue. I ordered for takeout and the lady was super nice to me.

Man. This place hit the spot and taste buds on so many levels! The service is top notch. They're attentive and always make sure your pandan tea is topped up. Shop is small but clean. Every dish I tried here was consistently delicious. I had their BBH (spicy beef noodle soup), duck noodle soup, fish cake udon (special), pho. My kid is a picky eater and enjoyed their pho tremendously. Their mung bean drink is outta this world! Whenever I'm in Honolulu, I come here specifically for that drink!

I'm not a runner. Exercising and I are like oil and vinegar, we don't quite mix together. Despite my apprehension about exercise and therefore running, I've had multiple runs to Ahn Hong to make sure that I grab takeout during my lunch break. Despite it being a pretty far spot from my workplace, I'm always happy to take a dash for their food because it's my favorite Vietnamese place on the island! I'm always looking for the holy grail in terms of menu variety and taste, but Ahn Hong is my #1 choice for flavor and dish selection thus far! While it's not uncommon for me to find items too salty, plain and not having any depth, high prices and other disappointments, I've never found anything at Ahn Hong to not be worth it. Instead, it's more likely that I ate elsewhere and wished that I took a run to Ahn Hong for my meal!Having to run to get takeout means that I've rarely enjoyed a sit-down meal here. Although parking is sparse and not the cheapest downtown, you're in for a treat if you dine in. The complimentary flavored water is the perfect thirst quencher since the restaurant is always on the warmer side. I'd also suggest dining in so one can explore the other shops and restaurants in Chinatown. No running needed so long as you remember to feed the meter!I rarely come across Bánh Xèo and had a good laugh to see it marketed as "Vietnamese Pizza." I attempted to order it multiple times but was always told that they were out. It appears that the recent menu change no longer lists it. Looks like I need to run elsewhere if I want a craving for "pizza" the Vietnamese way. Hoping that the Bánh Xèo returns so I can try the chef's take on it. I'm sure it was incredible back when it was regularly available.
