I have been to Madame Saigon early this year and I see this place getting better. Don't get me wrong the food is excellent and I shall come back for more.

Maybe don't buy the summer rolls on Mondays...I bought the summer roll pack with one shrimp and one tofu roll. The fillings seemed fresh but the rice paper wraps were rubbery and inedible, as if they'd been prepared the day before and refrigerated. For $9 I should paid a few $$ more and have gotten fresh poke across the mall.

I'm on a mission to try all the Banh mi that I can on Oahu. After 2 years of eating Banh mi here, I'm so sad it took me so long to find this place. It was SO good. And not only that, but everything here looks amazing. They even have a Vietnamese plate lunch situation. I can't wait to come back here and try more of what they have to offer. Very friendly service as well!

Finally got to try their banh mi lemon grass chicken sandwich today after my friends had been raving about this place. Hands down it was the best I've had. Bread, which for me makes the banh mi, was perfect. Just the right crunch and crispness in the crust. Vegetables were perfectly seasoned and lots of tasty chicken. The sandwich is good for two people but on your first trip you can't resist eating the whole thing. Btw, the place is spotless clean! Says a lot when everything is neat, clean, organized, and the food is nicely displayed.

Had their $10 BBQ chicken bento at 1003 Bishop. The chicken was dry and tasteless. After a few bites, I had to trash it. Pricey and unfit for my palette. I love Vietnamese cuisine but would not recommend MS!

Per Yelp, i saw that there were 2 other locations of Madame Saigon. One at Remington College building and other at Pioneer Plaza. I'm not sure if the other 2 locations are still open. This location is located 1008 Bishop St American Savings Tower. It is on the left My Barbecue korean food and around the corner is Jack in The Box.I went into the business and took photos but didn't bother to ask the employee if this a new location. I had their food at Remington College.

Friendly staff, clean facility, awesome food!Everything I have eaten here has been extremely good! I love coming here when I am craving Pho, or want a lighter meal.100% recommend! Great place to eat!

Their Banh Mi is top notch. Always full and always fresh! You can order over the phone or head on over. But if you go too late you have to wait in line! Staff is very friendly and always trying to help with recommendations or just a pleasant smile!

I love bahn mi. This place is pretty good, but a little far from what I had come to expect from a traditional style. I miss seeing the maggi sauce poured on it. The bread isn't quite as crunchy as Vietnamese places outside the US. I am not Vietnamese, but grew up in a Vietnamese community in Sydney, and I miss that comfort lunch so much.

Trying to figure out which "Madame Saigon" or "MME Saigon" I'm located at is extremely confusing, and it appears to be confusing others as well because the photos are all mixed up showing both locations and reviews talking about both. I did some quick research, and the one I went to is actually not even located at the two business pages Yelp has!!According to the restaurant website, it states there are two locations: one is in the Remington College Building located at 1111 Bishop Street that has other eateries such as Dim Sum House, Seoul Kimbap, and several others. I've seen this location firsthand, so it's accurate. The second location is in the Pioneer Plaza at 900 Fort Street Mall, and I have also seen this firsthand. None of them are closed. Both open. Now, the one I went to was neither of these locations. I went to one that's in Bishop Square with Pauahi Tower and American Savings Bank Tower. Additionally, my receipt says MME Saigon with the address listed as 1003 Bishop Street!!So I made a business page for this, and hopefully it'll help fellow Yelpers if there are any in Downtown. But it's not that important if you don't find this place because you're not missing much, and there are much better and cheaper options with friendlier service than here.Whenever I want something light, my first thought is usually Vietnamese food. I've been here twice already, and perhaps my last...already.The first visit, I just grabbed Summer Rolls. Two came in one package, and I had a shrimp and a tofu roll. There's no price on anything on these cold items, so you have no idea how much until you pay. They just list Pho, Bahn Mi, party trays, and plate lunch prices. Maybe the prices for other items are around, but I haven't noticed. The Summer Rolls were okay. It's just romaine lettuce, rice noodle, and very little basil with the meat or tofu. Super basic. The all important accompanying peanut sauce was just okay too. It's on the bland and thin side. Missing that savory and nuttiness from the peanuts.Second time I grabbed a BBQ Chicken Bún. Again, no price, but whatever. Can't be THAT expensive, right? Well, it was $11.95 plus tax. Forgot to mention the Summer Rolls were $8.50 plus tax. These are sit-down, made to order restaurant prices, and everything in the cold section has been premade for who knows how long, and it tasted like it's been sitting there for a long time. My noodle salad was okay. The chicken was cold, and poorly sliced. The knife never went through the chicken, so it was just one whole piece, which was annoying to eat. The spring roll was the clear indication of how long it sat there. The wrapper was soft and tough, and the filling was bland. The shredded lettuce was okay. No basil or mint. The accompanying sauce not even close to enough. I grabbed an extra peanut sauce that I was thinking of using for the spring roll, but I ended up dumping that in the bún, or else there would've been no taste. The best thing at Madame Saigon is its Satay Sauce that you can just grab on the way out. That sauce had nice flavors and a real nice spice kick. It was this sauce and the hoisin sauce that made the food acceptable. The service seems unfriendly and a little pushy. There's no greeting and if you're looking at the cold items, the lady will stand next to the register holding a bag open to put your food in, and then immediately tell you the price before ringing it in. I guess it seems helpful and efficient, but that's not the feeling I got.Overall, the food is pretty generic, and pricey for a fast food Vietnamese place in Downtown. I think I'll stay away from the cold items, and perhaps order other things next time. Or go to the other two locations!

I haven't heard of Madame Saigon before, and don't often find myself Downtown. I was meeting my friend and wanted to grab some food when we finished but most places I found were closed, so I decided to give this place a try. Food options were very limited I suppose because they were about to close so I won't ding them for that. The person at the front was very nice, which I appreciated. I'm not sure the name of the dumpling type of dish that I got because it was all they really had left, but it was good enough. I'll try again later if I'm Downtown again during the day so I can get a better idea on their menu.

Every so often I have to work in town and when I do, I look forward to getting my Vietnamese food fix from this establishment. They have a wide variety of food options that's already prepared or made to order. The staff is always so helpful and friendly also. This visit I ordered the pho and the broth was very tasty and hit the spot.

Went here yesterday for lunch. I couldn't decide what/where I wanted to eat yesterday, but when I saw their banh mi menu, I knew this was the spot! I ordered the BBQ pork banh mi, which was reasonably priced at $8.50. It was ready within 5 minutes. The sandwich was big - portion is nice and generous. The bread was toasted crispy, but it was cold. It would have been nice a little warm as well. Taste was on point. I am definitely coming back here.

Recently did take out and was impressed with their shredded chicken long rice. They give you a takeout plate's worth of noodles, veggies, and shredded chicken at a fair price. Would consider trying their other options the next time the opportunity arises.

This review is for Madame Saigon in Bishop Square. I can't seem to find a listing but on my receipt it says MME Saigon. The interior pictures and signage seems to be similar. Review based only on a lemongrass banh mi $8.50. I believe I was the first customer right after they opened. The person who made my banh mi grabbed a half a loaf for my bread. Pretty sure it was from the day before, the texture of the bread told me so. The lemongrass lacked color and flavor. I'm used to lemongrass having some curry and or turmeric that gives it a yellow tinge. I even inspected my chicken thinking I must have been given BBQ chicken instead of lemongrass chicken but I found traces of lemongrass fibers. Props to the generous cilantro and pickled carrots & daikon. Was okay, a little disappointed and underwhelmed as I love eating banh mi. There are pho choices. Based on the banh mi quality, probably won't try that. They do have a hot food counter with premade entrees. Those looked tasty. For a quick lunch on the go, maybe next time. I always give a place at least two tries as they could have just had a bad day.
