When I tell you this is one of the best poke bowls I have ever had on the island... geez the fish tasted so fresh and so soooft. I usually prefer ahi when getting any poke but wanted to try the king salmon and it's 1.50 extra but so worth It! They have many toppings that are included but some that are extra such as the crab salad & seaweed salad (which I got). They had uni but opted out this time because I wanted to appreciate the poke more but maybe next time! They say it's flown from Japan But all in all 10/10 Run don't walk!

Best poke I've ever had! Tried the spicy half salmon and half ahi with sushi rice. Great flavour and fish is fresh!

Came here for the first time and fell in love with their high grade fresh and fatty premium poke. Each bite melted in your mouth and left me wanting more! We compared it to another popular poke place in the area and I must say, this is my new go to! The girls behind the counter were very sweet and patient and willing to answer any questions. Food was ready in about 15-20 minutes! Highly recommend, try out The Hawaiian salt hamachi for sure!

Someone local tipped me to try Morning Catch poke in Honolulu Chinatown, and I'm beyond glad I listened. Nestled in the back corner of the wet market, right across from a fresh Sashimi grade fishmonger, Morning Catch is a gem of a find. Surprisingly, the market itself is clean and dry, not what I expected. Finding Morning Catch took a minute, but it was worth it. I went for two poke bowls: spicy ahi with shoyu limu, and another with King Salmon and Spicy Ahi, both with sushi rice instead of the regular. The fish tasted fresh, and the flavors were on point. The sushi rice, though, was the real winner for me. Morning Catch stands out not only for its quality but also for its made-to-order approach. What truly set these poke bowls apart was the sushi rice. It was the highlight that elevated the meal from delicious to utterly scrumptious. While there are a few seats by the stall, we decided to take our bowls to enjoy by the beach. This place is undeniably a gem in the bustling market.

I will never stop talking about how great this place is. Their poke is BOMB. You are getting quality fish that is also made to order. We ordered the king salmon, hamachi, and spicy ahi combo with limu and tobiko. It was enough to share between 2 people. A bit pricey, about $25. But SO worth it. Id suggest calling before hand and placing a to go order and waiting curbside. You can go inside or I believe you can call/txt when you arrive and they can bring it out to you. I recommend going on their instagram to see their story highlight of how to get there and also where you can park! The convenience of getting to the place is a bit of a hassle but really worth it, I'd recommend to everyone!!

A poke stand within a wet Chinese market, serving freshly made poke bowls. It is run by two women in a cozy setting and has one or two tables for dine-in diners. The stand's staff gets their fish DIRECTLY from the sashimi vendor across the aisle of the market, so you know your fish is freshly prepared and can personally inspect the fish's quality.I really liked visiting this location (I went around 10a) because it's within Chinatown so you can visit another Hawaii POI. There are also many fruit stalls and Chinese BBQ vendors nearby so you can absorb the smells and sights. When the poke stand gets busy, orders can take a while to come out, but it's worth the wait. Although poke bowls seems like the popular route here, I got poke by the pound as well.Parking: Parking on street, might have to walk a bit

We had high hopes coming to Morning Catch but left disappointed. First off, this location is in the middle of a wet market so the surroundings are a bit dirty. The cement flooring is wet, there are tons of people walking around, and the neighboring stands sell raw fish, meat, etc. It took quite a while to order our poke (even though there was no line) and for our poke to be ready (20+ minutes). I'd consider Morning Catch a take-out only spot, since there was no seating other than 1 plastic table with 4 chairs to the side of the stall, again in the middle of a busy wet market. We ordered a poke bowl with 2 proteins, both ahi. We were disappointed to open our box of food and find that the ahi was relatively gray/brown in color versus red. Given the price and quality, we probably won't come back.

Great poke spot. Really fresh and seemed loved by locals. Surrounded by really cool markets. Definitely worth a visit.

Probably the best poke my husband and I have ever had. We’ve never had texture like this before! Completely melts in your mouth. We got the shoyu limu ahi + spicy ahi, spicy salmon + hamachi with sushi rice. Everything was amazing. An easy grab & go meal (or a couple small tables by the poke stall inside the meat market).10/10!

Wow! The best poke I've ever had! Everything was fresh and great quality! The fish melts in your mouth and the sauce/seasoning is not overpowering. Some places mask the bad fish with so much sauce that all you taste is the sauce and not the freshness of the fish. I don't normally eat octopus but their octopus was amazing! 4 stars for atmosphere because it's in a market with limited seating

I was a bit disappointed when trying out Morning Catch after following them on Instagram for a few years. The portions were much smaller than their posts portrayed and were not worth the price. Rice made up half of the appetizer-sized plastic container. This, and the fact that the serving of Tako I ordered was pungent and sour in taste, made my experience very regretful.
