Absolutely love the chicken sandwiches here, spicy is always the way to go! It's hilarious seeing Popeyes across the street! They wish they had fire food like overlord does!Been too long, now they also have noodles! Gonna try tomorrow! Will report back!Kid-friendliness: Entire place is kid friendly and baby proof! Love it! So kind to my keiki!

My sister and I got the chicken sandwich combo. Serving size was great - we split the sandwich and there were plenty of fries for both of us. Nice breaded, crispy chicken patty with mayo and lettuce. My sister liked the sandwich so much she ordered popcorn chicken to go ?. Service was fast and efficient. Employee offered to cut our sandwich and was super kind. Nice that the place was away from the Waikiki crazy, too.

Tried the chicken sandwich and fries. Really good. Do yourself a favor and try the bbq sauce! Sorry, no photos. We ate it too quick. Haha.

This place has great food and amazing consistency. So glad that they're open late, hope they're in business for many years to come

The chicken sandwich was good and moist. I don't remember much about the full chicken we ordered, so there's that!

Service was horrendous. Compared to other people that came in after us, we weren't asked for our preferences (spicy or non-spicy), didn't get recommendations, and were refused when we asked them to cut a burning hot chicken. The other customers in the restaurant were rude and loud. :(The food wasn't horrible but it's nothing comparable to cane's though so you're better off anywhere else.

I've gone here a few times. I love that it's open late and priced well, however consistency is not their strong suit and there's sometimes a longer wait.Fries, sandwich, and popcorn chicken are alright but I can't really recommend getting anything else here...

This is it. This is what I’ve been looking for in Hawaii. Anyone who finds themselves looking for food after midnight knows the selection being limited to Taco Bell, Jack in the box and McDonald’s is pretty disappointing. For some reason Hawaii lacks options in this department. But in comes Overlord chicken. Don’t be put off by the sterile decor and the funny name, the food makes it irrelevant. For 10.99 you can get yourself a juicy, delectable fried chicken sandwich, well salted fries and a drink. Trust me when I say I am underselling the chicken. This is quality food that you can get cheaper than most fast food combo meals and later than the across-the-street Taco Bell. Next time you find yourself looking for a late-night meal, try Overlord Chicken.

First time here - really friendly service and clean interiors. I got the mala tang (essentially a mini version of Chinese hotpot) and my partner got the chicken wrap with fries. They even gave us a free popcorn chicken! The chicken was juicy, and the mala tang very flavorful and satisfying.

I was craving their original popcorn chicken. The light crispy, batter fried, well seasoned dark meat chicken got me hooked. Phone in my order. Illegally park at a neighboring business and ran in get my chicken. They added noodles to their menu. I will have to come back and try it. At a glance it reminded me of the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, but the owner said Overlord Chicken was a chain in Republic of China. Wasn't familiar with the province he mentioned. Young female cashier provides a No nonsense. No smile service. Wish she told me that I had to ask for the dipping sauce. The popcorn chicken would have tasted better with the white dipping sauce. My mom prefers the spicy sauce.

Price was a little high, but what restaurant can afford to charge cheap prices to continue doing business in Hawaii? The pricing was reasonable but the food was well worth the price. Went back 3 times so far and will continue to do so. Always same consistency on the crunchiness and soft savory chicken! Flavor bomb!
