“I stopped by for a quick bite (late lunch) and noticed that the line for the drive through was super long so I decided to walk in. Although there was also a line at the register, it seemed to move quickly so I remained in line. While standing in line, the cashier greeted each customer and politely took their order; there were times she had to step away so she would politely say that she'd be right with you. When it was my turn, she greeted me and took my order; she also repeated it back to me to make sure she had the right items. My food literally took a few minutes and I was on my way. The food itself was fine for being fast food, and was at an appropriate temperature.. nothing was cold. I will definitely be back when I need to grab something on the go or is wanting more chicken fries“
“I didn't experience dining here I just saw this Mcdonalds Store at NEX Honolulu when I was in Hawaii. I like to make a Review about this Store because I miss my Grandpa, which happened to be this store's former Crew. Yes! My Grandpa started working here when he was already 67 and Thank you for still accepting him despite of his Age.. and Because of that He can afford to Provide my needs in High School and College and even the Things I don't need but he wants me to have like PSP and stuff even he has a Cancer... But my sick grandpa didn't stop to work and the cancer didn't stop him either. That's why I adore him! He's a Strong man and still Smiling. The day after he died he ask me some food to eat you know what was that? Mc Cafe & Fries from his favorite fastfood Mcdonals then the day after He passed away. To the Best employee of the Month (I don' t know how many Month is that) JUN, I miss you and I love you. Thank you McDonalds for being part of his and our life.💖“
“Back for our second visit this week, and it did not disappoint!Food was unreal! Best tacos we have had on Oahu this trip.We had the pork and chicken tacos, and the zucchini fries - cannot recommend highly enough!Well priced too!I’d post some photos, but they’re in mah belly“
“Guava Smoked has such an interesting story behind it. The owners would hike around on the island and harvest the invasive strawberry guava wood that's on the island and use it to smoke their meats. The result is flavorful, sweet smelling meat and it is seasoned to perfection. We ordered the kalbi, spicy pork, and butterfish collar as well as a side of pipikaula (family recipe). All of them were lip smacking good and has a nice chew. I would recommend the spicy pork and butterfish collar for everyone to try.We ordered the plate and was able to swap out the rice for homemade kimchee, salad and a mac salad.Smoked meats all the way!Parking: Parking is a recessed lot from the street, it's around in the back“
“Get the fries.I mean, get anything it’s all good, but get the fries. I don’t think I’ve had better fries on island. The stuff is super friendly and funny. I usually just order and run off, but I actually stick around a lot here.Definitely recommend!“
“My wife and I loved this cute little place. It takes time for your burger because it takes time for goodness. The truffle fries are a must. The burger is very favorable. The bun holds up to all the toppings. That is a big deal. You have to put in a lot of thought to make a good burger. They have done this.“
“This was such a good find for my husband and I that we came twice while on our week long vacation and would have came more if we didn’t care about trying new places. It’s one of the hole in the wall restaurants that you always remember! We both really enjoyed the fish tacos. It feels like eating a comforting home cooked meal. Definitely recommend!“
“Hands down, best burger in Honolulu. Located in the heart of Chinatown, you can't go wrong with this simple, no fuss menu. Skip the corporate fast "food" joints and come here for a quality smash burger made from REAL Hawai'i grass-fed Beef. And their house sauce is omg-yum!“
“Ate at Lu Lu's for our first time this evening. Our server was outstanding, smiling ear to ear, checking in on us regularly and everybody seemed genuinely happy to be working here. The food was also outstanding, big portions and the drinks were super tasty! Love the atmosphere and vibe. This is an open air, 2nd floor restaurant and bar with various sports on multiple TV's and an amazing view of the breaking waves, surfers and boaters, just below. If it allowed me give Lu Lu's more than 5 stars, I would! Run, don't walk... to Lu Lu's!*** Edit - We ended up eating at Lu Lu's 3 times during our stay, each time was just as fantastic as the first. I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody!“
“Past this place a couple of times visiting my sister and knew I had to visit before I headed back to the mainland. Customer service is excellent! Clean and fun atmosphere…throw back to the 50’s that definitely keep your eyes busy. Food was really good and the root beer float I recommend!“
“This restaurant was amazing!! The food, atmosphere and wait staff were top notch! I was definitely pleasantly surprised. We were a large party of 14 and the staff seemed to handle our large party very cool and calmly and with everything coming out at the right time and the right temperature. I will definitely go back!“
“Excellent food and service. Parking is easy and lots of seating. Came in on a Sunday. Was seated as soon as we walked in. We put in our orders and watched as everyone around us devoured their food. We finally got our burgers and fries and got to it. I had The One. Burger had tons of flavor from the wagyu to the bacon jam and blue cheese. Will definitely be back!“
“I think there are 2 Banzai Burger restaurants at International Marketplace. This one I have been to was facing Kuhio Ave. We had breakfast at Kuhio Ave Food Hall.We initially walked in here but didn't get anything that morning because there was no burgers. But after ordered at a different restaurant, the food came out of Banzai Burger.Food was fresh and delicious. I would love to come back to try the burgers.“
“Shay and her friendly crew are always busily working so hard. I had the "Fun Guy" with mushrooms and added an egg on top with fries. So Ono if you passing by pearlridge shopping center heading towards the airport on the right across from Boston's Pizza. Mahalos Shays Smash Burgers!“
“My family just enjoyed a delicious lunch at Sundays after working up an appetite on the beach. We shared the garlic shrimp, bbq chicken and the original burger. All the food was delicious, tasted of good ingredients and a big portion at a fair price. Very solid choice for a meal in Waikiki and the crew working were all friendly Hawaiian folks.“
“Aiea location-Saturday morning breakfast stop that was absolutely amazing! The walk-up ordering was fast and we were greeted with a wonderful smiling face to take our order. The food- fast, fresh, and delicious. We had the guava French toast, Uncle Boy’s waffle, Kahula pork fried rice burrito along with mac salad, fired chicken, and pickled mango- I cannot say which was better as every bite was flavorful and well prepared.A definite place for an affordable delicious meal.“
“I came in yesterday with my family and the restaurant atmosphere was fun and light. Kiara was our server and had great recommendations for us, bacon on the steak house burger delicious! She was very friendly and efficient. We loved trying new burgers. Go cheeseburger!“
“My sister and I got the chicken sandwich combo. Serving size was great - we split the sandwich and there were plenty of fries for both of us. Nice breaded, crispy chicken patty with mayo and lettuce. My sister liked the sandwich so much she ordered popcorn chicken to go ?. Service was fast and efficient. Employee offered to cut our sandwich and was super kind. Nice that the place was away from the Waikiki crazy, too.“
“This is the best burger place!!! The very first bite you take is delightful, greasy heaven! I had the Aloha burger, and my friend had the Western BBQ burger. The service was super fast (within minutes) and they were really friendly and answered every question we had with a smile! We both enjoyed every bite~ Highly recommend stopping by if you find yourself near Lewers st in Waikiki. It's a food truck with a few tables outside to eat.“
“This place isn't fancy, it's even a bowling alley. But their food - oh so yummy! We are somewhere else but I had to have dessert from here. I picked up a huge slice of Crunchy Strawberry cake. Not sweet just creamy and light. The crunchy outside is just right to give it that dessert sweet. The slice is so big I had to put it in the fridge for part 2.“
“The go to place if you around the Māpunapuna area or Saltlake area breakfast is always a must at Taka's call in it helps if you impatient and there lunch is hella awesome the place is small kine hidden if you coming from mauka (mountain) to Makai (ocean) opposite can find on the left get parking on road or up front of there place be mindful no block driveway even tough quick but go down and see what the stomach like eat and hopefully come back for another round a local place with local grindz“
“I've been coming to Masa's so they opened I believe in the late '60s and I don't think I was ever disappointed- the taste and quality of their food is always great and portions are huge. Parking is a bit difficult but it's worth the hassle.“
“Bobs. The smell of Bob's bbq smoke wafts in the Kalihi air and draws customers in. Phone order is the pro tip when ordering for dinner time. Cannot go wrong with the hibachi chicken plate and if you want a good deal the super combo is the way to go. Bobs always makes the day better.“
“bruh broke da Mouf!! Gotta get early. They're open 8-12 at Kaka'ako market every Saturday. We were lucky to be the last customers as they ran out!!! Delicious caramelized onions on a perfectly grilled smash burger. Truffle sauce was on point. Fries were crisp and delicious. Put this at the top of your list of "must try"“
“If you feel like an awesome, decent sized burger for value for money, then this is the spot for you!! All locally owned, so support your local businesses! Gluten free buns and Taro flavoured buns available ??I had the bacon double cheese burger with the Taro buns, and the other half had the Paniolo BBQ with the gluten free bun. The meat patties are definitely a decent size, and burgers are freshly made.Parking at this location is next to the store, and 1 off street car parking.“
“[Teddy's Bigger Burgers Waikiki] Delicious rare and juicy patty! ? A burger chain that originated in Hawaii.Come to think of it, I haven't eaten a hamburger! ?We went to Teddy's Bigger Burgers near the Waikiki Zoo.Although they now have stores in Japan, this is a hamburger chain that originated in Hawaii.Oh, the Japanese menu is ready! ?It's kind of hard to understand lolYeah, hamburger 3000 yen plus tip lol・DOUBLE COMBO $19.49Half of SMALL TODS, half of SMALL FLY.The basic patty is finished medium-rare.The rare finish looks quite raw, so this time I used the basic finish. It's medium rare so it's super juicy. You can't get this meaty feeling anywhere else. The buns are soft and soak up the meat juices, which is another plus. However, personally, I like buns with more aroma.I might take a trip to Hawaii burgers next! ? w“
“Old school Honolulu local burger joint, Take Out only. Family business since the 50’s. Love it!Parking is a pain but don’t let that discourage you.Hal’s Burger with everything is our new favorite. Nostalgic Teri Burgah taste, yum!Vegetarian options: Veggie burgers availableParking is limitedParking: When it’s busy, parking is difficult. Phone order or online to just pick up and go.“
“Ordered Jolene’s by the Sea via Uber Eats:OMG the pastrami melt is amazingly delicious, love the bread too!Best entree: 6 crunchy huge won ton filled with cheese and brisket. Crunchy and flavorful plus the consommé I think was more like a rich snd delicious soup which made a bGreat dip for the eon ton. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“OMG has always had the best salmon salad on the island except for this morning. We have always purchased the salad in the evening. It is very crispy and beautifully presented like the photo. The salad this morning was not healthy nor edible. It was unevenly salted, with some very salty pieces and the salmon was chopped, or shredded into soggy oily pieces. The salad seemed to be covered with the fried oil. Considering the salmon salad is one of the more pricy items on the menu, there should be consistency on the dish.“
“The dogs are good, but their burgers are also some of the best on oahu. Clean, fast, and you can also bring your food outside to the eating area or picnic tables, or even to village beer.Parking: Free for the 1st hour in the parking garage, but easy to get validated by any of the businesses here if youre here for more than 1 hour.Kid-friendliness: They have a lot of kid friendly menu options“
“Sorry I didn't take a picture of the food . I was too busy devouring the perfection on my plate. The fries are some of the best I've ever had at a burger joint.I got the regular cheeseburger and it was divine. The BB sauce was light and flavorful. I love that they didn't put too much on it. Crispy edges to the burger just like it should be. The bun was soft and fresh.“
“Stepping into Jane's Fountain is like taking a delightful journey back in time. This iconic diner, with its vintage charm and retro fixtures, offers more than just a meal – it offers a slice of Hawaii's rich history. Its time-worn counters and stools, where countless stories have been shared over the years, have seen generations come and go, yet the spirit of 'aloha' remains as vibrant as ever. The menu is a wonderful mix of comforting local favorites and classic American dishes. Their loco moco is hearty and flavorful, with a perfectly cooked egg atop a generous portion of rice and beef patty, all smothered in a rich gravy. The saimin warms the soul with its savory broth and springy noodles. And don't get me started on their breakfast offerings – the pancakes are fluffy pieces of heaven! The staff, many of whom seem like they've been part of the Jane's Fountain family forever, serve with genuine warmth and familiarity. It's not uncommon to see regulars greeted by name, making the dining experience feel personal and cherished. For those seeking a taste of old Hawaii combined with scrumptious food and heartwarming service, Jane's Fountain is an unmissable gem in the heart of Honolulu.“
“I was purchasing souvenirs at the shop on the first floor, but I thought it would be possible to eat at the lovely cafe with guitars displayed on the ceiling, so I asked about it and was told that a table would be ready in about 45 minutes, so I made a reservation. When I gave my cell phone number, I received a message confirming my reservation and was able to enter the store in about 15 minutes. The food was very reasonable in Honolulu, where prices are high, and the New Messi sandwich was very delicious. The service was quick, and even when we ordered in English, which was not very good, they answered "Perfecr!" and made us feel comfortable. was. The music on stage was also of high quality and was very good. Highly recommended.“
“"A good burger is a messy burger." This is it. One of my favorite burger spots for fresh patties with fresh ingredients. Service is friendly. Nice spacious restaurant. On the pricey side...but you are paying for a real burger...not a fast food one. Their milkshakes are awesome and I feel like they're underrated. Made from real ice cream. Awesome spot. But be ready to pay.“
“Good, local-style food. They serve Breakfast all day. All da food choices are tasty & portion sizes are good. Usually have breakfast items- omelets, eggs & meat, pancakes, bacon & egg sandwich toasted. Main dishes are also delicious.Be sure to ask or check for their Specials. About 7-8 tables inside.“
“We tried Alfredo pasta( vegetarian) with the garlic bread, and I think it's the best vegetarian pasta we have tried in here. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Thank you Hi.Shack team:)Vegetarian options: Alfredo pasta with garlic bread“
“Went here for dinner, meals were good however the $25 brisket plate had two small chunks of brisket. Wasn’t super happy with the pizza but it was as advertised. We also got wings which were seasoned very well although why they even bother serving the ends of them when they’re too burnt to eat is beyond me. Service was great.“
“I meant to take pics but smelling my food on the ride home, I forgot about pictures and straight devoured my food . I had the OG and my wife had the Paniolo. We also had fries , tots, and onion strings. Everything was killah. Full on broke da mout action. The wasabi sauce was my favorite with my burger and the sides. This place get action. He even has crispy jerky too. I wen wack the whole bag before I got home lol. Buggah is mean .“
“The food isn't exactly delicious, but it's good value for money in Hawaii, which is notorious for high prices.I went in the winter and ate outside so it was nice and cool. For breakfast, try the pancakes and stir-fried mushroom menu. It’s delicious.“
“This place has a whole vegan menu! The burger was the best vegan burger I ever had. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food came really fast. Only thing is that it's not a really chill atmosphere. Pretty loud and a lot of gamers.“
“This is a burger shop located in the food court on the second floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center. I ate the cheeseburger and pineapple teriyaki, and both had simple seasoning that emphasized the ingredients, allowing you to enjoy the deliciousness of the meat! It's more voluminous than it looks, so I think it's a lot for each person. The dining space has an open atmosphere, so you can enjoy the resort atmosphere!“
“Been a Mark's customer for years now. Food is reasonably priced, always tasty & ready in 10-15 min. Usually order the "Spiced Beef w/ Bell Pepper" or the "Beef Tomato" but everything I've ordered has at least been a solid 8/10. Oh, and don't worry if the ordering process feels a little confrontational, there's just a slight language barrier so it's unintentional . Great family-run restaurant.“
“You can get local grindz pretty much anywhere in Hawai'i, but this one stands out for the country-style Japanese approach they take here. Managed primarily by three Japanese-American women, this spot appears to be beloved by my motherland brethren, and I can see why as where else can you find sashimi as fresh as this on a Hawaiian lunch plate? Jamie W. and I became aware of this ramshackle spot by way of a Japan-based gay couple named TabiEats who vlog relentlessly about Hawai'i. They became so nostalgic about this spot we felt a need to give it a try. Jamie ordered the straightforward $10.50 Loco Moco Plate with two fried eggs over easy and a thick brown gravy over the hefty hamburger steak (photo: It was exactly what he was looking for down to the macaroni salad and two scoops of rice. I went with the TabiEats recommendation of the $13.50 Japanese Plate Deluxe, quite a mixed plate of chicken & beef teriyaki, shrimp tempura, potato croquettes, cabbage slaw, and the unexpected highlight, slices of fresh tuna sashimi (photo: It reminded me of what my oba-san, just not at the same time. FOOD - 4.5 stars...Japanese-type lunch plates done right with plenty to eat AMBIANCE - 3 stars...looks like it's been there for decades...no place to eat unfortunately, so we sat at the bus stop and waved off the bus SERVICE - 4 stars...they've seen it all TOTAL - 4 stars...definitely a place to go if you're hungry and even hangry RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed:“
“First of all, the two ladies working the Carl's Jr, which is also a gas service station, do an amazing job. The food was sooo good. Fries were super fresh, tasty and crunchy as well as the burgers. It has been a while, since I ate at Carl's, but it was as good as I had remembered it. The only thing that was a pity was the fact that it is located within a small gas station and therefore only offers a few seats and no real toilet and no good convenient atmosphere. They would attract many more customers with a real location; there are so many Jack in the Box, Mickey D's or BKs on Oahu, but only this one Carl's Jr. Nevertheless, I would still get the food from Carl's and eat in the car, because of their food quality, which does not taste like fast food at all.“
“Today I got the Pastrami Reuben and Fries (requested extra crispy). The Reuben was awesome, nice and crunchy toasted bread, a nice chunk of some soft pastrami, and a nice bite/funk from that sauerkraut. The fried were crunch on the outside and soft and moist inside. Great quick bite for lunch.“
“I been catering my parties with them for over 10 years & everyone always raves about the food & asks where it's from. They have good party packs & give alot of food. Sometimes it could use more flavor but it's still really good. Of course it's gotten more expensive but still worth it bc they give alot. They let you sub most items, sometimes with a little upcharge. Their chicken wings are one of the best on island, sometimes I stop by just to get the chicken wings with giant fries.“
“Good awareness to allergies, especially if you know what you can and can't do. For me it's Gluten (they have GF buns! Just let them know you can't have it in the same toaster.) and Dairy (easy, no cheese or butter on bun.)I had a single with avo, bacon, pickles, lettuce, tomato and it was fantastic!Dietary restrictions: They have Gluten free buns and really did a great job getting my special order right!“
“Okay I have been here enough times to know the menu like the back of my hand LOL. I want to start by saying the people who work there are so sweet and quick to serve unless packed busy.I've been coming ever since the day they opened & I have never left unhappy. Kind of feels like one hidden gem in Kalihi. Lots (and I mean LOTS) of people come every day to buy plates. They reno'd the place so now it's so nice to sit inside, it's so clean, the lighting isn't too bright - if you want a casual meal, this place is the one. Lunchtime is busy but you can almost always count on at least one empty seat. Something I appreciate is the portions. The mini is enough for me to feel full and sometimes I cannot even finish! That's how big they are to me. At a reasonable price too, on par with L&L. I love their loco moco, mochiko chicken, kalua pig, fried shrimp, musubis. I will say that the concept isn't unique so you might feel like you ate this before but the food is made well enough to feel satisfied. They also have specials of the day all the time, under $10! Drink choice is stuff like AlohaMaid/Hawaiian Sun juice, tea, water, canned coffee, fountain soda. Not every place is perfect and the only con I can complain about is sometimes they run out of something on their menu. This can last for days or even months, depending. BUT, their menu is amazing & if you choose something else, you'll most likely love it. It's yummy, affordable and you make friends over there. Thank you Kams for always being awesome. Even if I move out of here, I'll come back! Wishing you a lifetime of success!“
“This a hidden gem! What a great experience! Hannah took our order and delivered an amazing meal with a beautiful atmosphere located in a cider bar. If you visit order the chicken and waffles:). All the food was absolutely perfect and delicious!“
“I love coming here in a pinch. They are clutch when I need to make a quick run to get food. Only gripe is the app thinks this store is closed at 5pm on the weekend. The change was recent and they now open til 8 on weekends. Once this is fixed, I'll give it 5 stars all across the board.“
