Not great but not absolutely terrible if you're looking for dinner and everywhere else is closed. Service was very good. We were seated quickly and got ice water right away. I ordered the black garlic ramen and my partner got the chicken katsu curry with rice. The ramen is not Japanese ramen. It's like a fusion or inspired by. The noodles are small straight yellow egg noodles, similar to in Chinese noodles. The broth lacks depth and flavor. There's a thin layer of oil on top.. The pork is very thick cut and mostly fat in the bowl I got. The mushrooms and bamboo tastes a little funny to me. The marinated egg was way too sweet, I think too much mirin or whatever rice wine they use to marinate. The chicken curry was good. The chicken here is very crispy and juicy on the inside so I think this is a better dish to order here. Overall a decent place for convenience and large portions but don't expect authentic Japanese food.

Food is great and you don't have to wait very long for it to come to your table. HOWEVER, I have seen staff use the same gloves to clean a table (fingers in the cup and carry off the table), take payment from another customer, then bring out just-made food for another customer at another table. If you decide to go, be mindful of who handles your food.

The food is above average for the price. The food arrives piping hot and quickly from the kitchen. We enjoy the variety of menu items. We enjoy the different self serve spices, sauces, and toppings that are provided at no additional cost. The seating feels a little cramped because it is a small dining area. Most of the workers are friendly.

I ordered the wonton udon noodle. For me soup noodles are all about the broth. Poor quality broth base is a non starter for me. The broth tasted like it was made from chicken flavored bouillon, which usually contains a fair bit of MSG. I was expecting to see a large stock pot of boiling chicken or pork bones being on fully display out in the open like traditional ramen shops because this place was called ramen bones, but I saw none of that. I avoided drinking the broth because it was so nasty and artificial tasting. Probably the worst tasting broth I have ever tasted in my life. Tasted similarly to an instant ramen packet. They also seated my group of 3 at a 2 person table so I had no where to put my legs and had to set the chair and extra foot away from the table so I had somewhere to put my feet.

My family and I enjoyed a flavorful dinner at Ramen Bones in Kahului, on our recent trip to Maui. I was going to meet-up with a longtime friend, who was on a cruise of the Islands with his family. We decided to meet at Ramen Bones, since it wasn't far from where his cruise ship was docked. We were seated promptly upon entering and began to review the menu. I decided upon the Special Combo of a mini Miso Ramen and a 4-piece Gyoza. My wife had the Tonkotsu Ramen, while our son enjoyed his Charsiu Miso Ramen. The food was delicious and it all tasted really good. Service was quick and efficient. The restaurant was fairly packed, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves by the sound of all the "slurping". Parking was easy to find and close to the restaurant. There was a line of customers waiting outside when we left.

Quick service, yummy ramen bowls, great portions too! The broth of the ramen is tasty and is perfect for cloudy windy days. It's very comforting kind of food! The mochiko chicken was delicious! The portion is good for two people.

Food was not great. We ordered lobster balls (NO), shuimai (okay), shrimp Tempura (from frozen), mochico chicken (okay), gyoza (no), chicken katsu (really thin with ketchup sauce), wonton mein (good), shoyu Ramen (good), and beef curry (good). Overall it is okay. The food is not great and it left a greasy film in my mouth that wasn't pleasant. Yes, we ordered mostly fried food to pair with our Ramen, but honestly I don't feel that way when I leave Ramenya. LOTS of better quality food elsewhere.Mahalo

It was just ok. It's always pretty crowded but line moves quick. Food is alright. It's decent for Maui ramen but overall nothing to write home about. I would go back if I was desperate for ramen.

I really like this new spot. I am happy that it was not another junk food place. It is fast food but it is good fast food. I really like the service here as the girls are fast and efficient while still being friendly. I also like that I can go here while running errands and it is nice because I live in haiku so it is definitely a more convenient location for me. The food has been spot on from the first time I ate here up until the last time I dined here a few weeks ago. Th e food is always consistent and the flavors are great. I like the shoyu and the black garlic ramen. The chicken Katsura is always. Nice and crispy. I also enjoy the fried oysters, the mochiko chicken s good. I can't say I have had anything bad from this place. I also like the ambiance of the place it reminds me of some of the ramen shops I have been to on Oahu and in California in various japan towns. Overall it's a great little spot for a nice affordable lunch or dinner.
