My wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary on the Big Island and wanted to experience the best the island had to offer. Ulu Ocean Grille did not disappoint! Based on the reviews, ULU offers exceptional food, ambiance, and service. The breakfast buffet is amazing with epic baked goods, excellent fresh made omelets, and fantastic food, all enjoyed with a view and sound of waves crashing. For dinner, the food and service are great. Favorites include the tableside poke, lobster shumai, crab noodles, seared ahi, spicy tuna roll, and the rich, flavorful chocolate souffle. The kaluga hybrid caviar is an amazing experience, and the grilled Mahi Mahi is fresh, light, and delicious. The complimentary fresh bread and garlic butter is a kind addition. The lychee martini is not to be missed. Every single staff member is attentive, kind, sociable, and knowledgeable, providing the most outstanding service. Guests are guided to outdoor tables closest to the ocean for a calming and lovely experience. ULU is a definite go to on the Big Island for an incredible, top notch experience.
