“Veranda Afternoon Tea!! My friends and I were here for afternoon tea on Sunday and we loved it. They provided variety of the tea menus and we got the royal set for all of us. Everything was so good especially the local tea that you can only get here in Hawaii and nowhere else! And Ryan was taking care of us the whole time, very attentive and knowledgeable about food and drink here. Thumbs up!“
“Hands down the best steaks I've had at a restaurant so far. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, juicy, and well seasoned. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms and lobster Mac and cheese, which were also delicious, but we could take or leave the French fries (there's much more interesting options anyways).“
“Although it is not an ocean view restaurant, I was satisfied with the atmosphere, food, and service. I was disappointed with the Wolfgang Steak, but the meat here was delicious, and the recommended red wine was expensive but so delicious that I ate it on my last day in Hawaii.I'm satisfied and I'll go back to Korea haha. I don't think I need to eat the shrimp dish.“
“We had an absolutely amazing experience! I ordered the vegan 4 course and my friend had the Chef's 10 course. First of all, it's difficult to find a vegan course menu from a fine dinning restaurant, the taste was outstanding! From the, beet salad, curried chow fun noodles, chickpea Madras over rice and finally the mango tapioca..every dish was perfection! My friend enjoyed every dish as well she said everything was absolutely delightful. She especially had high praises for the Samoan crab shumai, duck confit katsu bao, squid luau agnolotti and the condensed, flavorful, out of this world 90 day dry age beef. The strawberry panna cotta was to die for! First unsure if she could finish a 10 course meal but she finished everything happily! We had the most delightful first class dinner, thank you PAI Honolulu. You are one of the BEST Restaurant in town!“
“Outstanding experience during our trip to Hawaii. They offer a full plant-based/vegan meal which was very tasty. Even my partner who sometimes eats meat/seafood didn‘t miss anything. Interesting natural wines. The service was also friendly and attentive. They took care of my special diet requirements. We had a great stay, this restaurant definitely stood out during our three weeks in Hawaii.Remark: Google‘s description „modern French cuisine“ is a bit misleading, it is a fine-dining restaurant but it rather serves Hawaiian-inspired, partly local fusion cuisine.Vegetarian options: They offer one full vegan set menu.Dietary restrictions: I had the request to leave our seaweed/high iodine food which was met.“
“We ate here twice in three days. Best meals during our brief Waikiki vacation. My crusted Ahi for dinner was excellent and my wife had what she called “one of the best salads I ever had”. Breakfast two days later was equally delicious. I had salmon eggs Benedict and my wife had the regular eggs Benedict and we savored it to the last drop of the sauce HollandaiseService was very friendly and reasonably fast, but in-rushed. Recommend seating at the far end. Feels like being outside in the silky Hawaiian air, yet protected from the elements.“
“Nonchalantly busy cafe on the main drag out in Kaimuki, from the front The Curb looks relaxed and quiet but once you enter you'll be surprised to find a nearly full bustling artisan caffeine dispensing operation. The coffee is ostensibly the focus (spanning your own desired level of complexity) but they have an interesting selection of baked goods to pair with your espresso. Can confirm both the cookies and banana bread are well made. Park along the residential street and stroll in to join the line from the back entrance.“
“Beautiful interior design and very clean looking. Our server was Anthony, he was great. Very attentive and friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and makes great conversation every time he comes by the table. Got to try a bit of everything on the menu, and everything was great. Loved the Ulu Two Ways, Saimin Soup Dumplings, and Braised Short Rib (so tender and flavorful, we could've had two more servings!) Sad that we weren't able to try the Pinakbet since I was looking forward to trying something I'm familiar with, but I understand. The Fried Ube Potato Pie was so good and a great way to finish off the meal. They also offer Dino Nuggets for the kids in a cool dinosaur plate so that's great too! Overall had an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.“
“Great food. Steve and Ryan were excellent! Best service I've received so far. We got the paletas and it didn't disappoint. If you don't like a drink on the menu ask Steve and he'll whip you something up to fit your liking.“
“Service was 5+ starsThe food was amazing, we only ate from the happy hour menu due to heading to the airport.Overall a wonderful experience! The bartenders were so helpful and several servers stopped by to deliver or clear plates and everyone was so personable.Friday 3/22 4:30 pm“
“Ginza Bairin Tonkatsu in Waikiki was some of the best Japanese food I’ve had outside of Japan. The pork tonkatsu curry was so tender while remaining crispy on the outside, the curry sauce had a hint of sweetness and was absolutely delicious, and the unlimited miso soup was hands down the best miso I’ve ever had. Even the cabbage salad was good, and I don’t even like cabbage.Don’t be put off by the diner-like aesthetic of the restaurant, because the food at Ginza Bairin is a must-try while visiting Waikiki Beach and one of the most memorable meals we had on our vacation. Whether you like Japanese food or are open to trying something new, you won’t be disappointed.“
“Overall our dinner was very good. One disappointment was with the Hamachi Kama, which I will order if offered. I requested the large but the portion was small compared to many other restaurants we've had it at. They also slice the collar in a way that cuts through what my family and I call “the tube” where fatty goodness resides. Every other dish we ordered was yummy and portion was good. Service was little slow with the Sushi sets but probably due to only having 1 sushi chef?“
“Let me start off by saying that if you’re considering going to Amuse, just go. If you live locally, go and you’ll find a new go-to spot in town that actually has convenient parking and doesn’t leave you wrestling with people on Kalakaua. If you’re visiting, go and enjoy great food near the primary tourist hubs while experiencing a genuinely one-of-a-kind dining experience that will make your trip that much more memorable. If you’re able to stop by Amuse Wine Bar, you’re in for a great meal, excellent drinks and unbeatable service. If you have the excellent luck of having Haley as your bartender and server, then your whole experience will be further elevated. While I’ve come to expect a lot from Amuse based on the consistently high quality, Haley’s service and expertise took that expectation up another notch.Amuse has excellently curated dishes- especially the appetizers and desserts. If I had to choose just one dish to live on for the rest of my life, the fried brussel sprouts would immediately come to mind! If that’s not enough, the desserts featured here are the quality, appearance and taste of what you’d expect to see in a culinary arts textbook or on competitive patisserie shows. Pastry chef Cainan Sabey has a great array, and Amuse serves their creations in generous portions at fair prices for what you’re getting.Haley was able to describe every dish and drink in precise detail and was even able to paraphrase and further elaborate so that I could pair exactly what I wanted among the various drinks and dishes. I’ve been to Amuse a few times over the years and I can’t stress enough how great it is to have a reliable go-to spot in Waikiki that has great atmosphere and excellent food and drink every single time. Haley was kind, gracious, knowledgeable and professional- if she serves you, trust her judgement and recommendations. She won’t let you down!If you’re wanting to get 5 star service and 5 star quality without completely compromising your wallet, definitely head to Amuse. I can’t stress that enough.Vegetarian options: There is a vegan dessert option that I enjoyed when I was vegan and when I wasn’t! It’s delicious and worth the trip!Parking: Amuse does validate as long as you’re parked in the attached parking garage.“
“Food was good (when in Oahu, it’s hard to find as good quality we’ve found so we’re comparing this place to other Oahu places- not mainland). They use San Marzano tomatoes so the sauces are that good true Italian flavor.Portions are okay, and cost is high, but so is the island in general. It was SO LOUD and kind of crammed inside so don’t expect to be able to have a quiet table conversation. It’s as loud as a cafeteria. Our waiter was such an amazing person and was very helpful. We would eat here again for sure!“
“Agave & Vine is a must visit local sports bar with amazing staff. Location at Macy's side food court, The food court has a wide range of food and the best cocktails or beer provided by Agave & Vine in the inside food court or at the bar.“
“On our last night on the island, after a day on the beach, we were debating between more casual and higher end for dinner. On a whim we stopped into the Kalapawai Cafe and found that it offered both; a casual atmosphere and fine food. The food is well prepared and delicious with with a variety of dishes which would be found on fine-dining menus anywhere, and some more casual fare, as well. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive, and really seemed to take pride in the cafe as well as the food they were serving. This was my favorite meal of our week-long trip.“
“I stopped by the store without any prior knowledge as it had a nice atmosphere. They were fully booked for dinner, so I said ok if it was 2 hours later, so I asked if that was ok, but they did their best to check the reservation status and told me there was a table available due to a cancellation, so I showed them there. I received it.It was a very nice table on the second floor in the back. I was really lucky that my son and I didn't have to scramble to find a restaurant, and instead we were given a nice table. For my meal, I ordered a pear salad as an appetizer, and it was exquisite. it's recommended. For the main dish, my son had duck meat and I had grilled chicken. It was also delicious. If I ever come to Hawaii again, I'll remember to make a reservation before visiting again.“
“We love Stage, even though the prices have gone up since we were last there. I don't think I'll go for the sorbet again, but everything else was super yummy. We enjoyed being the only ones in the restarant part, but are sorry to see it so empty. Well, it was a Tuesday night.“
“We had a really nice, relaxing dinner here. It was a Wednesday and not crowded at all. The selection of really fun, unique cocktails was good and the small plates were very good (we had the chips/popcorn), asparagus and the salmon. It was a fun, quirky place. Our server was exceptional as well.“
“Can't wait to come back! The homemade gnocchi was an absolute treat, the cacciucco was chock full of fresh seafood and veggies and the escargot was delectable! Highly recommended!Parking: Parked on the street, so can't speak to a lot of any sort“
“Come here almost everyday for the last month as my job relocated me here to the Ala Moana center, Jessica is always happy with a smile on her face, which is good to see because there’s not many like that. 10/10 customer service. Thank you guys!“
“We had not been to the Kahala Hotel in 50+ years. It has changed ownership over the years, and the hotel has a new feel. Danny Kaleikini is no longer there and the local feel of the hotel is gone. We did enjoy a wonderful meal and listened to beautiful music at The Veranda, though. Next time I would like to visit the Plumeria Beach House.“
“The perfect Tuesday night bar. As the restaurants across the street are packed with people, this place is a haven of respite. Fear not, for neither the two alternate guests nor the bartender seem to be fans of small talk; this is the perfect location for those of us with a writers soul and a distaste for uncouth social interactions. (Four stars because the lights could be a tad dimmer, and the chairs are annoying but I guess the bartender should be allowed to see while he works )“
“This place is super cute, the service was incredible. It smelled so good when we walked in, so it was a hard choice but I had the lamb and my husband had the 4 cheese pizza and they were both very good. I highly recommend the brushetta it was fantastic! Desert we went with Gelato and I had espresso on mine. Perfect ending to a wonderful day“
“Came early at 640am.Ordered a matcha latte with oat milk.It is a bit pricey at $7.Staff were super peppy - too much for me at the early time but good for them haha. The matcha was pure and for. They also have single origin coffee from Hawaii,“
“Crackin' Kitchen Waikiki is located in the International Marketplace. The food was great! I spoke with the owner and he told me that he paid a design team to design the interior but he was not satisfied. The owner drew up his own plans for the store custom built himself. He has done a tremendous job operating a really fantastic and niche dining experience!“
“I love this place! I'm visiting family and they suggested that I visit this cafe and both times I've got the Poke bowl (it's my favorite) the rest of my family let me try some of the other dishes that they got and they are all good! The employees here are very nice too. Next time I come here I need to try there breakfast.“
