“What a great find!! Ended up using Yelp to find a breakfast spot close to the beach we were exploring and SO GRATEFUL we found Over Easy!! The food was amazing..My wife had a strawberry biscuit special which she loved..I went basic with pancakes & bacon but there was nothing basic about the food..The pancakes were HUGE but so delicious..And I'm a huge fan of crispy well-done bacon and the chef delivered as requested..You have to check this quaint family-feel location - you won't be disappointed”

“Legit Malasadas! No shop, just a food truck behind Kalapawei Market in Kailua —this spot dishes out super tasty Portuguese goodness! These are baked to order and come out so warm and soft. It’s hard not to eat 3-4 yourself in a matter of minutes.They had red velvet ones wirh icing on Valentine’s Day too—really good.The guy working the truck is always welcoming and nice.Highly recommend if you’re in Kailua to swing by and pick yourself up a dozen—you won’t be disappointed!”

“Second time here and ordered the salmon poke and spicy ahi over half hapa rice and half salad. And the icing on the cake, shrimp tempura! They offered a fountain drink with purchase too! Wow!! Very fresh fish and presented very well with the perfect portion size. So important even with poke bowls. It has to be the right amount of rice to fish. Flavors were on par and one of better poke places on island!! They do get busy but they give great customer service and knows how to handle their customers. Can't wait to dig in again!”

“AMAZING experience. We were waited on by the owners, or previous owners as they had mentioned they just sold but we're staying on to help transition the new owners. I am a dry red drinker, and they did only have one dry red at this time, it was a blend but still VERY good. I also love a good port, they had 3 available and one that they let us taste out of the barrel. I ended up getting a bottle of all the ports they had available and the dry red. They have an ice wine there that was phenomenal I ended up buying a bottle of as well.Customer service was amazing, the facility was clean and in a cool location with views of the mountains in the back. They do a wine and chocolate pairing flight with the local chocolate company Manoa. They have cold water available and I was able to fill my water bottle up a few times during our visit.Would definitely visit again.”

I called them and he was so kind and willing to help make sure I was happy.He helped me think of ways to make the problem right, even if it had been on DoorDash, and not on their restaurant. “The service was excellent. The host and manager were fantastic. Our guest both complimented their main dishes. He really kept saying how soft and tasty the short ribs were. I was able to swing my favorite burger for dinner. It is so good and very filling. Wife had the sea bass which was fantastic as usual. Earlier we shared the Brussels sprouts and eggplant appetizers. As usual we loved the halohalo and they loved the cream cheese dessert. The sushi was excellent and the smore desserts. This is our favorite restaurant to dine at and have guest experience the service and food.”

“Maui Brewing is a great lunch spot if you're in Kailua town. They also offer dinner but I prefer the lunch menu. The seared ahi salad is absolutely delicious. Pair it with a bikini blonde lager and your lunch is set. Service is the new and upcoming style where you order via QR code on the table and pay via cellphone after you order. It's kind of nice instead of having to wait on your party or your serve to be available. You will have your food and drinks served to you after ordering. They also have a cute little gear shop if you want to purchase anything. Seating is available outside, inside or at bar area.”

“Fatboy's has really tasty food. I love to stop here when I'm on that side of the island. You can usually find a place to eat outside at the shaded benches.Parking: During tourist season it can be difficult to find parking. You might have better luck across the street at the grocery store.”

“If you came here for food, you are in the wrong place. This is a coffee lovers stop, you can have any of their beans in drip, this is a spot to simply enjoy your coffee. I had the pleasure to sip on the Ka'u roast, it has a wonderful flavor and they serve it to you in a pot with small cup which made me appreciate the flavors even more.”

“My wife and I are visiting Hawaii from Canada. We just completed the Kailua Pillbox hike and thought we deserved a coffee and pastry. The cafe is warm and inviting and the young lady working the coffee bar was very pleasant and welcoming. The blueberry scones were delicious and the cappuccinos were the best we’ve ever tasted in the USA. Wait. That makes me sound like a coffee snob. The hibiscus iced tea was very refreshing next time I'm gonna try the sky Kombucha with strawberry and mango!! Clean and comfortable environment but a little cold... service was excellent!! “When a place has a sign that says world famous tacos I don't even take it serious anymore, but if there is a world famous award this place deserves it. We really struggled to find their location, seemed post covid it wasn't regularly updated, on a whim found their location on Instagram at a distillery so we hustled over there. The shrimp and rice in the pineapple was beyond amazing, pretty sure I licked the fork when I ran out of shrimp. The Thai chicken tacos were very good as well but I'm not a sour cream fan so I had them without sour cream. Can't say enough great things about the food and service, just hard to find.”

“Had a chicken burrito, it was special. But I have had trouble figuring out the schedule and where to find this truck! I'll keep looking for it, it was that good! Went back just now ordered the lengua street tacos with bean and rice. Delicious. Homemade refried beans and the rice is served with chunks of nicely cooked potatoes and seasoned nicely. The tacos were also very good, and simple, filling was tender, served with plenty of fresh cilantro and diced white onion. Homemade salsa might be chipotle, flavorful with perfect amount of zing to it.”

“A great place for great food any time of day! Business has a kitchen and a bakery. My wife and I had a free day while visiting family in Kailua. We both had a Moco Loco which was fabulous and generous. Eggs cooked to perfection and a tasty gravy. After we were done, we couldn’t resist bring home a pastry for later. A very nice experience!”

“My wife and I have been eating Taco Bell for 3+ years and this is the best/highest quality Taco Bell we’ve ever eaten at. The crew is always so nice and they’ve never gotten my order wrong, I do a lot of substitutions. I would love to try it next time.Most of the menu items ordered in the back space come with chips, but you have to pick up the chips from the bags lined up in the basket, so don't forget.”

“The best macadamia nut pancakes in Hawaii, or even on the planet! In search of this flavor, I tried macadamia sauce pancakes in Japan, but they never tasted like this!Is it because of Hawaii's climate?As for access, it may be a little difficult to get there...If you have a rental car, you can easily go there, but otherwise it's a little difficult to get to from central Honolulu.However, even after subtracting the transportation, the pancakes are so delicious! !If you like pancakes, this is one of the places you must visit when you come to Hawaii.”

“When we walked in we were told only two servers showed up to work today and it would be a 20 minute wait for a table and service would be slow. While it's disappointing to hear this, I appreciate the honesty and setting expectations. That said 3 minutes later a server came up and said someone just left they are cleaning the table and we would be seated. From that point forward things went smoothly. Our server hustled and everyone seemed to be doing the best they could with what they had. Our food was great, our server was proactive on drink refills and we have zero complaints.”

“We were in Kailua and made a quick stop in here. We tried one of their new items, the Meat Street Burritos. It comes in three variations : El Toro, Wikiwiki Shrimp and Pollo Sabroso. We ordered the El Toro (steak, cilantro, onion, pico de gallo and fresh lime juice). It has half a pound of protein. The burrito was huge and excellent. It had great flavor and the steak was just right. The only thing is that the inside was a little cold due to all the fresh ingredients. It came with tortilla chips and salsa. Perfect! We washed it down with Mango Jarritos. I love those drinks. Check in on Yelp to get free churros. It came with two pieces in foil with caramel dipping sauce. This was the best part of the meal. The churros were warm, crispy and chewy. It was so good. Get the churros.”
