5 stars all around solely for James at the bar!!! We let him work his magic and we received the best cocktails we have ever had. The atmosphere and food was great too but definitely make sure to ask James to make you something random for you. You will not be disappointed!

Gorgeous place right on the beach. The food is so delicious. The banana muffins are so good that I had to come back the next day. The staff are so friendly and kind. This is my new favorite place on the island!

Great location and food. We went for Happy hour and were disappointed with the lack of savings so our only complaint is that it’s expensive so we made it work and just split our meal and held to just one drink. All of it was great and if you got a fat wallet you will love coming here! Enjoy!

Right on the beach and the drinks were amazing! Best drinks we’ve had on the island. The bartender was kind and had great recommendations! Prices were decent.

We were seated , six people , the wind was strong so we moved to join to tables together outside , a staff member approached , told us to separate the tables , we ask if there was somewhere else we could sit as a 6 outside , he simply refused us and walked off . We left . Rude arrogant person . Made no attempt to assist us as guests , watched us walk out .Looked like a good menu for food and cocktails , but obviously don’t value customers ,We came all the way from New Zealand ……. He was a kirk .

The lava lava beach club is a fantastic place to enjoy a lunch or dinner with the views and sounds of the Ocean. For several hours every day they have good live music and comfortable seats. The menu is solid and I love that they have some specials built in which gives them room to find what's fresh and available at market and then offer riffs on that fish.I loved the appetizer calamari and it set the tone for the rest of the mood. This is not the place to go if you want a quiet meal but the music was quality on the day we were there and my family enjoyed the experience.Like anywhere on Hawaii and Kauai in particular these days, restaurant sit down means are going to cost, plan on 30 to 50 a person before alcohol.Vegetarian options: Not good vegetarian menu, will need to be careful and picky.Parking: Your best bet is to use the Valet. Go past the hotel buildings towards the beach. That's where the hotel check in is. The valet is complimentary and give them a nice tip after a nice meal for making it easier for you.

Food is average, service is good, atmosphere is amazing. Lava Lava in the big island is waaaaay better than this location in Kauai, unfortunately. Shrimp were over cooked, lava cake didn’t have liquid chocolate in the middle and it wasn’t hot, maybe a little old? I don’t know .. nice thing they have a live band and of course the view is amazing:)

This is exactly what you get when a mediocre place tries to be pretentious.Bunch of signs say to wait for a hostess to sit you down but she was apparently playing hide and seek when we looked for her as we walked across the whole restaurant and found noone. The waiter made a snobby remark afterwards about us sitting ourselves despite the place being no more than quarter full. The wait time for someone to pick up our order was also quite high for such a “high quality establishment”.Food was as mediocre as one would expect but not bad - quite a greasy coconut shrimp. Definitely overpriced but I guess that’s because of the location. There was good live music trying to pick up the atmosphere but in the end it was just loud and sad because of how empty it was.Overall plenty of much better options around that are not so annoyingly pretentious.

Super service, very friendly folks. Nice lively set up and near the ocean -- more Cali than Hawaii. Not much to say in favor of the food. The tater tots were not crispy, covered in pico del gallo (which should've been on the side because the tater tots turned into tater tot soup). Hamburger was fine. Onion rings were yummy. Tourist /Hotel prices.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get to and no steps

Small menu, but food was good. Service was great! Oceanfront views in and out on the beach. Walked over from another resort. It rained & was offered an umbrella to walk back. Wow! Above & beyond.

Lava Lava has the best drinks (alcoholic or not) and so many great food options. I highly recommend the margarita flatbread (the sauce and the cheese are so delicious?)For drinks; the ocean potion, sandy toes, or honestly whatever the bartender suggests, will blow you away.Lava Lava is great for any group, family or friends, and is especially lovely at sunset as it’s on the beach overlooking the water.
