About Nani Moon Meadery

Nani Moon Meadery, located on the island of Kauai, offers a unique and flavorful mead experience for visitors. Despite some initial challenges in visiting the meadery due to its shifting hours, reviewers who were able to make it inside found the hostess to be friendly and informative, guiding them through the extensive mead selection. The meads are not your typical sweet varieties; instead, they tend to be dry and well thought out, with options to sample a range of current, aged, and special offerings through full flight tastings. The seasonal "candied orange cranberry cyser" is particularly popular and pairs beautifully with dishes like mahi mahi.

The tasting menu provides an opportunity to explore a variety of flavors, with some reviewers noting that the tasting notes don't always fully capture the taste. Many visitors appreciate the opportunity to discover new and interesting profiles, especially given the focus on dry meads, which can be hard to find elsewhere. The staff, including the "queen Bee" Julie, is known for being friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

While some meads, such as Buzz Squared and Deviant Behavior, have overpowering flavors that linger, overall, the meadery is praised for its quality and uniqueness. A local girl living on the island was especially happy to see her community represented here. Although the location is a bit set back in a strip mall, it is considered worth the effort to visit. Prices may be on the higher side, but the experience and variety make it a worthwhile destination for mead enthusiasts. Overall, Nani Moon Meadery offers a delightful, immersive experience that captures the spirit of Kauai.

What an amazing place! The flavor profiles were so diverse and tasty. We would definitely recommend to all friends and family.

A it hard to find but worth the effort. A bit set back at rhe back if a strip mall. The meads are not your typical meads. Not sweet. The tastings are well thought out. Tbr best way is to get a full flight of current offerings and a flight of aged and special offerings to taste through the differences.
It was great to see a local Philly girl living her best life on the island.

I’m not always the biggest fan of mead, but decided to try this place. My husband and I both LOVED their mead. We even got a bottle to take back to our resort. The staff was so lovely and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!!!
