Fantastic place to stay! Right on the beach. Free bike rentals to ride all the way down the beach to see all the beaches. Only 15 minutes from the airport. Quiet and a lot of restaurants and shopping close by. Had a pool and a restaurant on site as well. The customer service of the front desk was incredible! They made our stay so much better! Highly recommend this place to stay

The vegetation on the property is beautiful and taken care of. Since one building was under construction there was a bit of noise. Our building was renovated so the bathroom was very nice but the refrigerator leaked fluid/water onto the floor which was addressed when we told maintenance. The lobby furniture was a bit “used”. The fire pits were a nice touch at night, along with great foot and entertainment at the Lava Lava which is a gem for this property.

Great Vibe. Everything is freshly updated. We had a garden view room that faced the smaller pool. I loved the amenities. Free parking, bicycles and beachfront lounge chairs. Lava Lava club is a bonus. We liked the beach to the right of our hotel for swimming. It was a bit calmer. Location to Coconut Mkt Place was great for walking to grab a bite to eat. Also, it’s a great central location for exploring different parts of the island. I’d stay there again. Apparently they have units with kitchenettes too, but I don’t cook on vacation!

OK. So I’m not a surfer. I was a bit hesitant to book this place because some places in this category will use bright coloured paint and super graphics to obscure quality and professionalism. This place is the real deal. It’s got the brand and the vibe and the quality is consistent. The staff is great, rooms are spotless, grounds are well maintained. Free valet parking. Who does that! The beach is clean and well kept. The sand was a bit more granular but lovely on the feet. The water quality is excellent. The beach was a bit steep and had a small beach break. It may not be perfect for toddlers and even some jittery adults judging by the fact that we were often the only people floating in the swells. The only weak link is the restaurant. It’s under separate ownership. You can’t charge things to your room. Some of the staff try hard but are not well trained. The menu isn’t really consistent with the brand of the hotel which is healthy, clean and light. However, the restaurant is very popular in the area and I’m likely the lone voice in this matter. The restaurant is always bustling and is a popular hangout. There are a lot of excellent restaurants within walking distance so don’t let my comments about the Lava Lava club dissuade you from staying at this hotel. It’s worth it.

This resort hotel has top notch amenities and great staff. There are no real 'Ocean View' rooms but its restaurant is right on the beach so that makes up for it. The room was clean, towels are replaced daily, the pool was well maintained, and the nicely landscaped grounds were immaculate. Parking is free including valet parking. There were daily sand bag & Jenga games on the lawn, and very good guest singers at the resort's Lava Lava restaurant (everything there was delicious). The best things about this place were the free bicycles and bike trails nearby, the many restaurants (6 or 7) within walking distance, and its location on the island (mid-point between the north shore and Waimea Canyon). The only flaw was the sometimes weak wi-fi reception. It met all our needs so we'd definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and we cant stop talking about how great this hotel was. We were assigned a newly renovated room at check in and it was fantastic. Ian was extremely helpful during check in with suggestions and tips and the rest of the staff was top notch. We would definitely stay here again.

Personal and professional service. Rooms were always clean and more than expected. Definitely staying again!! Valet parking is fast and easy. The people there are top notch. Lava lava beach club is easy, fast and delicious, definite plus having that so close.

Great small hotel. That’s what I liked about it. Comfortable and cozy. We stayed in a recently renovated room. The bathroom although small was all we could ask for, a large walk in shower, sink with room to spread out and a little cubby behind the door to store our “mess”. Our room was a good size with a king bed, Wonderful atmosphere with a friendly vibe. We plan to come back next year

This was a difficult review to write. The hotel itself is not bad and would rate as a 4. The hotel facilities are fine as a base - bed was comfy and room refurbished recently. The grounds and pool were lovely and well maintained. However the Lava Lava beach bar a 3. We had a meal there most days (there’s not much choice nearby) and some days the food and service was great but other days really poor - ignoring us and a very odd way of closing accounts when shifts change - though the server actually just moved area. Very weird but maybe the norm. You might get a good experience in the bar or bad - just depends on staff that day I guess you have.

This is a great hotel if you are looking for a basic room (not spending much time there) and want easy access to a beach. Room smelled a bit musty because guests get the carpet wet. Bathroom is old and tiny with a tub shower. There’s a small pool and hot tub, both a bit dated and filled with 20-somethings and young families. Restaurant looked nice and offered live outdoor music and dining, but was a bit too expensive for us. The 20-somethings also crowded the fire pit, so our family did not get near it.Free rental bikes did not look good so we did not use it. Best feature is the small but not crowded beach —note the currents are big and there is no lifeguard. It’s safe for cautious splashing around in the water and lounging on the beach chairs bit not for swimming. Staff is very friendly.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Angela at the front desk. The bathrooms were small but adequate. The sink was very small. The outdoor space was fun and welcoming. It was great to rent the free bikes to explore around.

Very comfortable and lovely scenic spot. Lavalava beach club was conveniently located on the beach. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. The rooms were neat and festive. Great time had by all. Glad there was also a laundry area.

The hotel overall was ok and good for the price . The staff was nice a bit robotic but ok . Cannot complain but A slight warmth was missing . The rooms did smell and the passageways to the rooms were also dirty . Now for the positives ---The cleaning service was was always on time so stars for that. The Hotel overall had a very lively feel in the evenings with the live music from Lava and beach was amazing as well .Loved the little snack shop in the lobby - Kids grabbed ice-cream and snacks from there every night . Overall I think it was nice though there is construction which was annoying but not that much and was mostly restricted to the interiors
