I ordered take the it from them last week.It was absolutely horrible.Butter Chicken and Matter Paneer and the raiti. Didn’t even taste like either of these dishes. Threw most of it out after a couple of bites.Avoid this place! They do not know how to cook Indian food!

Yak and Yeti is one of the best Indian food restaurants on Maui, and my wife's favorite restaurant on the island. Their food is so good that when we celebrated my wife's birthday by hosting a fairly large party (~40 people, including kids) in the Kula Botanical Gardens... we asked Yak and Yeti to cook up enough food for the whole group, picked the food up ourselves in Kihei, and drove it all the way to Kula, a 45-minute drive! Yak and Yeti did a great job, packed our food in very large aluminum trays, plastic and foil wrapped, and carted it out to our car for us. (To keep it hot for the long drive we covered them in thick towels, which worked great if anyone else wants to grab some Yak and Yeti and enjoy it at a beach or other location.)I can tell you every single person at my wife's birthday party absolutely loved the food, those who didn't already know and love Yak and Yeti asked about it, many of whom suggested that we should meet up at Yak and Yeti for more Indian food sometime. The Samosas were especially a hit! If you're looking for easy-to-eat food-to-go, pick up an order of their Samosas!Note that Yak and Yeti tends to make their food slightly milder for American tourist palettes (which makes sense-- they will offer what the most of their customers want), but if asked to make the spiciness more authentic to Indian palettes, they will be happy to do so.Some of our favorite go-to items here are:Vegetable Samosas (easy-to-eat, no plates needed)Paneer Masala (we recommend medium spicy)Dal Makhani (request mild-- great for keiki)Mango LassieRose LassieIced Chai Tea

Wonderful service, delicious food, & the sunset views are beyond. My party of four ordered the chicken momos which were excellent and definitely homemade (we can tell bc we’re Asian). Also had the samosa chat, garlic naan, lamb and chicken vindaloos, chicken tandoori, and butter chicken. I recommend spicy - extra spicy.Everything was so satisfyingly delicious from all the curries and sauces to the tender meats. Trust the people who come from Edison and Jersey City - this place is legit!

Staff were very friendly and service quick.Agree with another post - food completely lacking in flavor. Perhaps more Nepalese but definitely not Northern Indian dishes.

Yak and Yeti is quickly becoming my favorite South East Asian restaurant on the island. Under new ownership, the crew have transformed the hit-and-miss Indian food of Kamana Kitchen into a show stopping array of Indian, Tibetan and Nepalese dishes. I haven’t tried their meat dishes, but some of the stand out vegetarian dishes include momo, malai kofta (leaps and bounds beyond Monsoon’s!), bhindi masala and baigan bharta. Their onion bhaji and onion kulcha are excellent sides as well. Rice is included in the entree, so be sure to grab some raita and pickle! 10/10 would recommend

Wow this place was bad! We decided to give this place a try, but early regret it now! $80 for bland and not fresh food, you could tell the chicken Momo was a store bought frozen wonton, the onions weren't cooked thoroughly. The saag was definitely canned spinach. No flavor whatsoever... Service was terrible, place felt like it's dying a slow death.. do yourself a favor and avoid this place!

We ordered vegetable biriyani and kadai paneer. The food was moderately spicy even when we asked mild. Veg biriyani tasted like white rice in chilli powder. Kadai paneer quantity was too small and was only filled half of the cup. They should at least make a cup matching the quantity. Samosa chat was good. The host was polite but the owner seemed a bit rude.

Very poor food quality with very less quantity. Ordered curry which would not be good for even 1 person. Biryani had no taste, no salt and uncooked vegetables.

Horrible food and high rates. Long wait times. They know that people are willing to pay extra but they just don’t care about the quality of food.Avoid this at all costs. They even charge you for a side of sauce.
