I hired Cake Fanatics because their cakes were GORGEOUS and not being from Maui we didn't get to do a cake tasting so I just went off reviews. When my husband and I took our first bite it turned into us DEVOURING the entire slice of cake because it was THAT good. The best cake I've ever had. We ordered a larger cake and knew we would probably have extras because we had more cake than people and I am SO glad we had extras to take back to our hotel and enjoy for the rest of our trip. The days after the wedding I had multiple friends and family ask if I had extra cake because they wanted more. HIGHLY recommend!!!

I inquired about a custom cake and they sent cake designs in my theme and we agreed on a price... then I never heard from them again. I reached back out to confirm and again no response (it's been 2 weeks). If they couldn't fulfill my order that's ok but a simple response would have been nice.

Long (6 years) overdue review! I randomly saw a photo of the hubby and I cutting into our beautiful wedding cake, and was surprised to see I didn't leave them a review here! First, design! I was super specific with what I wanted for my cake (as I am with most things in life). And I didn't want a typical cake. I provided Cake Fanatics pictures of what each tier should look like, and they quite literally made my dream come true. The only minor change I would have made to the end result was having the ribbon be a lighter shade of grey, but I didnt specify in my instructions. Flowers on top were provided by our florist. Weather was hot and more humid than normal (my wedding was in Oct., but it had been a particularly hot summer, and rained the morning of), hence the glistening on the fondant petals and slight falling of the fondant lace on the middle tier. But I still thought it looked beautiful even after sitting out for hours during our program! A couple months before the big day, I did the tasting, where they also provided a mini rendition of the petal-like layers that I asked for. It was cute but didn't quite have the tapered off effect that I hoped for, so they promised to adjust for the real thing--and they certainly did! Got to choose a number of different cake/frosting combos so we could select our faves. The cakes were all really good: moist, not overly dense, tasty, and flavors shine through. I'd for sure purchase smaller versions in a brick and mortar any day. And the baker that met with me and my wedding planner was timely, friendly, and nice. From what I recall, pricing was reasonable compared to others, and the final price was under our budget. Ended up choosing the middle layer as red velvet with cream cheese filling (not quite as good as my fave red velvet at Sprinkles, but still good, and provides the chocolatey option), and the other layers as guava with Bavarian cream, mango, and strawberry filling. Omg that guava cake--YUM! Next day straight out of my parents' Airbnb fridge was good too. I didn't freeze the top layer (I know some do to eat on their anniversary, but that sounds gross to me), but I really hope we're able to order the same combo and share with our toddler when we bring her to Maui. Belated thank you to Cake Fanatics for my dream wedding cake!

After ordering the cake, and then making 4 or 5 changes after that, we ended up with a fabulous cake with raspberry filling and smooth white icing. Despite our many changes, they stayed in constant communication and brought us the perfect cake for the wedding. We were amazed at how lovely it looked.

I ordered my son's custom birthday cake from Cake Fanatics for a pricey amount but I understand the edible topper design was a little complicated to create. The cake topper was pretty much the main thing I was looking forward to and she designed it exactly as ordered to go with my son's theme. Other than that, no one enjoyed the cake or cupcakes and my family was honest and said they would have enjoyed a Safeway cake more. So the cake was just for display LOL not for flavor. I might have just chosen the wrong flavor combos as not one person enjoyed it and the cakes went right into the trash after the party. Delivery was late and 2 of the cupcake frostings were ruined when we opened the box. All in all, I wouldn't recommend unless you are just looking for aesthetics. She designs very well and is a very sweet person. But unfortunately we will not be ordering thru this company again.
