This restaurant has always been a classic for local people on Kauai seeking traditional Japanese food since 1976. The restaurant has recently remodeled with a modern interior. The Sata family that owns the restaurant is very passionate about their food and service and it shows! The Agedashi chicken katsu was off da wall! I rate it #1 out of all the Japanese restaurants in Hawaii. Tempura veggies & shrimp was extra lite & crispy too. Whatever kind of dressing they put on the cabbage is soo good!

Visited for a day and had a whirlwind of a time. Ended up our escapade with a nice dinner at Kiibo. Although this was my first (and certainly not my last) time here, we were met with hospitable staff and the warmest aloha.
