This place is awesome! Best Hawaiian bbq in Kauai. Huge portions. Quality meat & rice. The potato mac salad is a mix between your classic Hawaiian mac salad & potato salad - we liked it. Worth a try if you like Hawaiian bbq! The location is interesting - just in the middle of a bunch of warehouses, but that shouldn't deter you from coming. But it's worth a trip. Really good food, great portions at a nice price. The price for trying 3 items versus 2 items or 1 item is only a few dollars difference, so I went with the 3 items. I chose Korean chicken, teriyaki chicken, and beef stew. Surprisingly, my favorite of the 3 was the teriyaki chicken. I live in Seattle where teriyaki joints are common place and I eat teriyaki nearly weekly. But the version here tastes like it comes straight off someone's backyard charcoal grill. I love supporting the culinary student program at Mark's Place but we go there because the food is really good ! The Ahi Tofu burger wrapped in lettuce is my favorite! Try the Fish or Teri Chicken if you're really hungry ! Plates are huge with rice Mac salad and green tossed salad too . You can ask for tossed green salad only and they are happy to accommodate the substitution. I love all of their sauces and the salad dressing is perfect !
