Really Good pad Thai. Highly disappointed in the Panang primarily due to portion size. $16 for a SMALL bowl only to find out bowl was half way full. It tasted great, but I can make enough Panang to feed my whole family with $16. Also disappointed in the Thai ice tea. Maybe a bad batch that day, but it wasn't very good.

Usely I don't try buy Thai food but I just feel like try new food 2 days ago, first time customer for thier. I was waiting to someone's to help me out order the Thai food, standing there waiting no one greeting and I try to look in side the kitchen 2 guys look at me but they just kept doing whatever they... So I press the bell in front... Still no one help me. I was about to leave, back of table lady eating there dinner she was kindly told me you had to order food by kiosk, so I stupidly order 3 different food from them, wait that long, I should leave that evening, feel stupid. Any way pick up the food time I asked for hot sauce and this fat guy rudely said I don't know what you talk about WTF, and he ask skinny taller guy, he said you mean this (the dry red P powder) I just took it one, I'm not familiar those so I just take it, overall I will never go back there spend the money, the food was too sweet and too salty and dry. Learn how to greeting customers first before making money, even kiosk there and even being busy cooking! Be humble and humanity first priority and then sell the food, bye bye From first time customer!

The best Thai food I've had in Hawaii. We ordered Yum Nua which never disappoints, Larb Gai is so flavorful, and the steak plate. The staff are very nice and we're always happy after eating there.

Food is good but, Takes to long to get your food. Waiting 45 min. To get food at a food court is to long! To top it off the guy argues with me and shows me a receipt that says I have only been waiting 30 min. With a time I ordered as 25 min after the hour. I knew I had ordered at 10 after but I did not have my glasses, so when I got to the car I noticed the receipt said I order at 5:25 am the next day. SO PLEASE IF YOU ARE GOING TO ACCUSE A CUSTOMER OF LYING MAKE SURE YOUR TIME STSMP IS CORRECT!

My family first started going to the Laie Elephant Shack and would drive an hour+ just to eat there. Been there a couple dozen times. Tried the one on North Shore and was happy to see the menu consistency was the same. Tried the Pearl Highlands location a half dozen times. Now we are thrilled to go to the one closest to home in Kaka'ako. We are vegetarians and usually get the garlic basil bowl or the pad thai or the penang curry. I have never had a negative experience at any one of the locations. Not once. The food is just spot on. The pad thai is the perfect combination of flavors and textures. The touch of cilantro with the crunch of fresh cool moyashi(mung bean sprouts?) and the chopped peanuts with the sauce is just simply perfect. My only regret about your restaurants is that you let idiots eat here. Thank heavens I don't rely on Yelp for reviews or else we may have never tried.

Been going to Elephant Shack for some time now.. overall delicious noodles, but unfortunately the price has gone up and the portion sizes have gone down.

Go to Pad Thai spot! Best Pad Thai I've had on island! Love the online ordering at front table. Meal came out in about 8 min.

2/25/2022 I had been wanting Pad Thai so I decided to try The Elephant Shack. When I got there, they didn't have a cashier in the front and instead had an easy to use/understand ordering pad to place your order. Super modern! I decided to add veggies and tofu to my Pad Thai. My order was made quickly and the cashier who gave it to me was very friendly and thanked me. When I got home and opened the box, I was very impressed with the presentation. The food was still piping hot! Also, there were a lot of fresh veggies, along with crunchy peanuts, a juicy lime, and lots of cilantro. The Pad Thai was delicious! Four stars only due to the price. However, I realize that the cost of everything in Hawaii has gone up so I know this can't be helped. The taste was excellent, presentation was awesome, service was friendly, and ordering was easy. I'd love to try the other menu items!

Pad thai does not taste pad thai. So oily and over priced. The board sign is deceiving. Don't rely on it. Some items are not available so better check the kiosk tablet. Wasted $15-ish (I don't remember since the food wasn't memorable) for a tasteless pad thai. I could've went somewhere else that has a better tasting pad thai. But hey you'll never know unless you tried. Well couldn't find pad thai review so i tried. This was just last week fr this post. I hope you guys have better experience than i am.

The only reason I give it a 4 star is because we was waiting a while for our food, along with other customers. We ranged the doorbell and the workers just stared or either ignored us. That was very rude. I wanted to ask how much longer was the wait and if they would text when the order was ready because we would happily went to the other stores while the finished.

Unreliable store hours. Website said they're open Sunday 12-7 at Pearl City Highlands. Drove there for nothing.?

Pearl City Highland Market Elephant Shack Thai Cuisine. Bright overhead menu, with beautiful pictures of menu food, so you have a great idea what your ordering. Self-service ordering kiosk. Select your food item choices, customize ingredients like from no spice to very spicy, peanut allergies and protein choice. Punch in your cellular phone number, slide payment card or pay app and they'll text you when your order is ready. Highland Market is open 8am to 4:30pm daily. Very large parking open parking lot.

This is their YUM NUA and THAI BASIL FRIED RICE... YUM NUA - I just feel their steak could've been cooked a little more (maybe borderline "medium-well"... the meat was too chewy and the blood leaked throughout the meal...the basil and cilantro TOOK over the flavor (which isn't common compared to other Thai restaurants we've eaten at).. THAI BASIL RICE - It was OK... The soy sauce or flavoring was a bit SWEET. SERVICE - We got there at 9AM... There wasn't anyone at the front and neither was their counter set up yet. Then they come out and tell us that anything that requires FRYING isn't available (instead of saying it's going to take a while)..then their touchscreen isn't as user friendly....and then the owner or cashier was working and talking to people with NO MASK on..

I love this place. This review is for the Pearl Highlands food court location. The food is amazing. I've tried the bahn mi and the Kapow loco moco. Both were delicious but every time I go here I always order the Kapow. It's so flavorful the fried egg on top completes it. Love to break the yolk over the mountain of deliciousness! It is a bit expensive but the dish and flavor you get is worth it to me. If you are looking for customer service you won't get it here, everything is contactless. No one is working the front, you order for yourself on the kiosk located on the counter and then press the button to notify the back that an order was placed (see instructions on the counter) they will text you when your order is ready.

Just ..

Remove the BIG poster on the counter. Prices are DECEIVING!!! It's different from what you are going to pay. In your poster Pad see ew is $12. When you pay it's $13.50 plus tax. Not worth it. The guy in the front has a big attitude too. I showed him my receipt and told him I got the text message. He said " next time just get your order from the counter, Ok." What??? No next time dude! Never again. And Funny how the business owner reacts with the low ratings. So pathetic! Cry baby lol
