“Wow. Just wow. The Taro French Toast was amazing and one of a kind. HUGE THICK slices of sweet purple taro toast. It has been the best French Toast I've had on Kauai. I should have come here sooner. The omlet was delcious and generously portioned as well. Great prices, great portions. The food came out so fast and cooked perfectly. I went back twice. It was consistently great!
Parking: It's located on site, parking is open and unmarked.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's a good truck outside. Anyone can access it from the parking lot. there are no tables.”

“Sandbox at 1 Hotel is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks! The tacos were delicious, and the drinks were amazing—exactly what we needed to beat the heat. The fresh fruits were a nice touch, and the desserts were the perfect sweet finish. We had a wonderful time by the pool, with stunning views of the beach and the Napali coast. It’s a must-visit for anyone staying at the hotel!”

“First time (and first day) in Hawaii and had a friend back home recommend Hideaways Pizza. Surprisingly slow for a dinner time, but overhear waitstaff saying the summer vacation rush was pretty much over.
We ordered a couple of beers and a Caesar salad to share, then a 14” supreme pizza. Everything was very good and the atmosphere was quiet. Got a good view of the sunset over the ocean from our table. Would recommend if you’re in Princeville/Hanalei.”

“Really good experience overall.Coffee was top notch and service was given with a smile. It was slightly slower than expected to get the food and coffee out, but it fits the relaxed vibe.Had an awesome bagel and my wife had a gluten free muffin, which was particularly great.Haven't even got to the view, which is unbeatable.
Dietary restrictions: There were a few GF options.”

“The only thing worse than a raw onion in a burrito is a raw RED onion. I made it super-clear to the girl when I ordered but I hate raw onions so I ordered my burrito without pico. About the third or fourth time I bit into tons of raw onion I gave up on the burrito. It took a while for them to make it, and I double checked when I took it from them that there was no pico. I don’t know what else is full of raw onion, the corn maybe? I saved the burrito, thinking I could dissect it and at least eat the good parts later, but it was a mushy mess by then. Putting pesto in a burrito is an interesting move. I didn’t hate that part.. I was a little bit hesitant about ordering Mexican food on Kauai. There wasn’t a lot open in Princeville but I should’ve held out a few minutes to Hanalei town. Food trucks galore there! For what it’s worth this burrito is a decent value. Not for me because I didn’t eat very much of it. But it’s a lot of food for 11 bucks ($17 with protein.) It’s actually too much, basically a sloppy mess!
Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian unless you pay six dollars to add meat/protein”

“I enjoyed my food here (I got the fish sandwich) but the atmosphere didn't sit well with me. It is an open layout with nothing spreading the bar, kitchen, and dining room. The sound is loud and comes from all over. When little kids are in there it is even worse. I enjoyed my food but won't go back.”

“We met a local who told us this was a must try since we wanted ice cream. It's really tiny, tucked into the Princeville shopping center. There is literally only room for about 4 customers at a time and it is set up just like an old school ice cream shop. You can see the selection through the glass and they give free samples of whatever you want before you purchase.
There are about 16 different varieties of ice cream and it seemed like there was something for everyone. From traditional favorites like Mint Chip and Vanilla Bean to sorbets and fun island flavors like coconut pineapple, mango, and Kauai cookie, I had a tough time deciding! But don't worry, there is a 5 scoop sampler if you can’t decide or just want to try a bunch of flavors with friends and family.
They also have either a waffle cone or chocolate dipped options. I got the macadamia nut in a cup, simple and delicious on a hot day. It was silly smooth with full sized macadamia nuts. So so good! My daughter got the Oreo chocolate cookie crunch in a waffle cone and she loved it. It was way too sweet for me, extra decadent with chocolate ice cream and huge chunks of Oreo.
But dang was the waffle cone good! So delicate and flaky, yet it held up well while she enjoyed the ice cream.
I did see someone get iced coffee, but can't comment as we stopped at Outpost Coffee just up the road for coffee beforehand.
Overall this quaint little ice cream shop is worth the stop and the perfect treat on a hot day! !”
“One of our favorite places to visit on Kauai was Nanea Coffee! The owner Mason and the environment he has created manifest the aloha spirit - welcoming, friendly, warm and spiritual. If you’re in the north shore of Kauai we HIGHLY recommend visiting this place. We went every day - except on Sunday when they were closed. Besides the beautiful location - the coffee, chai and baked goods were so delicious!”

“This restaurant is unbelievable. It was so good that we canceled our next day dinner plans and came back. Both times, EVERY dish was so well planned, perfectly cooked, seasoned and unique. You can tell two head chefs own and cook at this restaurant. As a small business owner myself, the extra dedication and passion for food is evident in this establishment. The service was also fantastic. One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in all of our travels. And we can be pretty high maintenance lol.”

“We happened by their street location in Kapaʻa as we were returning to Princeville for the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1/4 chicken and pork sandwich with sides of chili beans and rice. The next morning we saw the smoke from the barrel cooking chickens for the day, so we stopped by to learn more. We highly recommend this local island favorite!”

“Yummy! This was an absolutely pleasant surprise. I found them because their Ahi Wrap was featured on Food Network's: The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Admittedly, there were issues with our order with the food taking longer than normal, so we were offered a container of poke to say sorry! The fish was so fresh and delicious. I chose the fresh catch plate (Ono) and the dipping sauces that came with it were delicious, my mouth is STILL watering! Seating is limited outdoors, but definitely still warrants a stop. Parking is plentiful in the front and back of this shopping mall.”

“Matcha Latte and pesto bagel. The Acai bowls are great as well. This place was a breakfast staple for me while staying up the road. If nothing else you can see one of the best views as I was able to catch while in Kauai.”
