“This is by far the best restaurant in Princeville. First of all, the service is impeccable. Everyone goes above and beyond at The Sandbox. Their pizza is the best. The man who makes them all day is really awesome. He's so nice, he even took a beautiful picture of us at sunset from his outdoor kitchen. And of course, the view is to die for. We went there twice while we stayed at The 1 Hotel which by the way is 5 stars all the way. We ordered pizzas both times. And one night, the chef made an incredible grilled shrimp salad special. All in all, I give it 10 stars.“
“We recently had shave ice at Wai’Oli at the 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. We were not guests at the hotel, but came up from the beach to grab some shave ice. This is just one of several shave ice locations we tried on a recent trip, and posted reviews for each. Wai’Oli made a very strong showing. The smoothness of the ice is excellent, with very little chunks of ice. The menu has a lot of variety, and you have the choice of five different named dishes, or creating your own. The create-your own invites you to choose a gelato or sorbet, house-made syrups, and toppings. Everything we had was delicious; I would recommend getting the Mai Tai gelato in your shave ice. The atmosphere is great: poolside, right along Hanalei Bay, with the mountains in the background. The only thing keeping Wai’Oli from being the best on the island is the exorbitant price. $14 or $15 for a medium-sized bowl. Offensive by island standards, but probably a bargain for guests at the 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay.“

“If you're on the North Shore of Kauai this is almost always the only place to go after 9pm. That's not to say you shouldn't go before 9pm, just that it's often your only option. With that said, this place is great. The bar rocks, the staff is quirky but fun, food is solid, drinks are what you want in paradise! Go, enjoy some time at Tiki Iniki and tell the door guy I said Aloha!“

“Have tried it 3 times. Twice it was top notch, once it was busy and extremely slow ( read hour twenty for salad and poke nacho) food was tasty all three times even when really really slow. Staff friendly. Expensive. Willing to work with dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Staff willing to inquire in the kitchen if you have restrictions and kitchen was willing to follow through. Felt they cared about our needs.“

“Delicious breakfast staples and a few more lunch oriented items. The restaurant still carries a little bit of food truck flair even though it has expanded to a permanent location.Seating is extremely limited so plan on taking your food to go unless you just happen to time it right, which is hard to plan on.The parking only has a few spaces but if you are there before 10 there's no competition from other businesses for parking. Moral of the story is arrive early, enjoy more ease in the experience.A personal recommendation? Try the kalua pork burrito, it's unique and spectacular.Parking: Shared parking lot. Easier to find spaces before 10. When the lot fills up, space gets tight to move around.“

“Went to this place for their mochi cake. It was gone by the time we got there. They told me that they ship to the mainland. I am looking forward to ordering online. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We ordered a ginger lemonade. Very refreshing and we could taste the real ingredients.“

“My wife and I enjoyed dinner at Tahiti Nui after completing a boat tour of the Napali Coast. We had walked by the restaurant around 3pm and they were busy, so we expected the same when we arrived at 7pm - correct expectation. We were offered and accepted seating at the bar. Julia was working the bar - wow, she made the best Mai Tai we have had in our eight days on the island!!!! Julia also recommended the Zesty Coconut Crusted Catch of the day - striped marlin. The food was excellent! We then finished the meal with their carrot cake - heavenly! We watched 'Descendants' the night before, the 2011 drama featuring George Clooney...he and Beau Bridges have a brief lunch scene at Tahiti Nui.Definitely a place worth visiting, particularly if you like fish and Mai Tai!“

“Overall we enjoyed our time at Kalypso! We stopped in for a drink at the bar. The Mai Tais were good, and the atmosphere was fun and lively. We did not order food but it looked good. I have to give it 4 stars because the bar manager (I believe is what she called herself) was negative and seemed to treat her employees poorly. She seemed rude and complained that “a manager should not be having to make drinks” right in front of everyone sitting at the bar. Very unprofessional, complaining, and speaking rudely to her employees while we were sitting two feet from her the entire time. The gentleman serving drinks at the bar however was VERY kind! He was attentive, conversing with people, and working quickly to serve everyone with a smile.“

“It's a decent fast-food Hawaiian BBQ joint. We probably could've gotten better food in the area, but even these guys were 20-30 minutes from entering line to getting food while everyone else was an hour at least. Limited seating on old picnic tables that need some attention.“

“Came here for breakfast after hearing good reviews and now we know why! Omelet was cooked to perfection and the corn beef loco moco was such a nice twist to the loco moco we all know and love. They're friendly and super quick! Came back the next day for the wrap, and they had it ready as I was paying. The chicken and bacon wrap was really good and filling. Loved that it came with avocado“
