“My wife and I enjoyed dinner at Tahiti Nui after completing a boat tour of the Napali Coast. We had walked by the restaurant around 3pm and they were busy, so we expected the same when we arrived at 7pm - correct expectation. We were offered and accepted seating at the bar. Julia was working the bar - wow, she made the best Mai Tai we have had in our eight days on the island!!!! Julia also recommended the Zesty Coconut Crusted Catch of the day - striped marlin. The food was excellent! We then finished the meal with their carrot cake - heavenly! We watched 'Descendants' the night before, the 2011 drama featuring George Clooney...he and Beau Bridges have a brief lunch scene at Tahiti Nui.Definitely a place worth visiting, particularly if you like fish and Mai Tai!“

“The food was fantastic. We came across this little spot on the back side of a building, and were glad we did. The Poke was not too salty, not too spicy, not too sweet. And the rice was fantastic. We noted it in our guidebook for our next visit to Kauai, and any others we lend the book to. It's a good one!“

“Nothing fancy, not much room to sit, but the service was friendly and knowledgeable, and they offered a military discount. We had two fish plates. One was ahi and the other can't remember but both seared and delicious! Our group also had two very delicious fish tacos.“

“The food here is INCREDIBLE! I ordered the swordfish with the most amazing sauce on it. I could have eaten it every day of our trip! I also really enjoyed the hummus appetizer. But the real show-stopper was the goat cheese cheescake. It was topped with an apple compote and lilikoi sauce and it was so much tastier than I expected.Parking can be a bit tricky. Parking in Hanalei in general can be tough. We ended up having to wait about 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. It also took awhile to get our drinks. My friend ordered a spicy margarita (her usual drink) and she literally couldn't drink it because it was insanely spicy with so many jalapeno seeds in it. They ended up remaking it so it was at the level of a typical spicy margarita.“

“Had a large party eat here recently. All of the food and drinks were exceptional especially the risotto appetizer and the macadamia nut mahi. Staff was very nice and had great suggestions. Will definitely be going back and recommending to others“

“Ready Player One ?Your first challenge will be to find a parking space at the always busy Hanalei centre. Not for beginners, but stick at it for your reward! We were fortunate to find a spot and get a table in the GourmetSadly I was driving so no beer for me. Lemonade was refreshing and tasted home made.Delicious choice of sandwiches. I went for the local version of a Reuben, and it was really good ?Catch of the day was Marlin. Battered as fish and chips. Again very good. Chips (or fries here) were crispy and tasty.Highly recommended. As for the parking spot : may the odds be forever in your favour ?“
“Delicious sushi. Not sure why ratings aren't higher! Compared to Wimea Terrace at the 1 hotel, and the sushi is better here. Himachi crudo was amazing and melted on your mouth. We got the Hanalei roll and the landslide roll, both of which were delicious.“

“I agree with the other reviews-the fish is great here. Plus the portions are a bit more generous than some of the other places we ate. We arrived dirty & hungry after an all day hiking adventure. They were very gracious, served us quickly and even took a few moments to chat about the hike. Also of note, the Mai Tai's are big and yummy!“

“Great night out! Went here for our 14 year anniversary! Loved the views. The hostess let us wait for a few extra min for a better table with the view. Our server said she was short staffed that night but she still did an amazing job despite this. We had Brussel sprouts and coconut shrimp as appetizers which were both delish. Then fish and chips and the pork tacos. Both amazing. Only down side was you had to do valet parking. I just like parking my own car and I wish I would have know that before I went there.“
