Chef Chris and his staff were very accomodating, creative, and hard workers that went above and beyond for our organization. The presentation of the food was beautiful and decorated with edible flowers and micro herbs. The deep tastes of the various flavors in teriyaki chicken, curry shrimp and tofu appetizers were delicious. Throughout the event, our 200 guests kept complimenting and you could hear the murmurs and whispers of "Mmmmmm" as people took a bite of his appetizers. My family was extremely delighted by the amazing dinner we had served to us in our rental house in Maui by Cloud 9. Chef Christopher arrived with his fantastic team and created one of the best meals we have ever had --and we travel and eat in high-end restaurants frequently. It was 7 courses of the freshest produce, seafood, and ingredients all presented with great style. I am still dreaming of the red curry prawns, the caprese salad with bacon "foam", the delectable swordfish with mini-vegetables, and the final ending of a perfect apple tartan. Chef Christopher is charming and interesting to talk to. My nieces, who typically are not very adventurous eaters and stick to simple pasta, enjoyed every dish and expanded their pallets thanks to the way Christopher and his daughters engaged them. This dinner was truly memory making. I highly recommend Cloud 9 for any event where you want the best food prepared by a talented chef & team.

Christopher and his crew go out of their way to ensure that you know exactly what you are ordering for your catered event by scheduling a tasting in the Cloud 9 kitchen in Wailuku. From the beginning, he felt like family as he served and introduced to us (as we sat at his table), the various dishes he and his staff prepared. He made sure that he communicated often before the party and made many accommodations along the way to fit our needs. Christopher and his staff even came by the house to make sure everything would run smoothly and set up plans were in place before the actual day of the party. The food was amazing and my guests loved it! Our menu consisted of: Appetizers- Carrot & Orange Blossom Salad Eggplant Salad Bell Pepper & Tomato Relish Roasted Garlic Hummus and Pita Bread Main Dish- Pastilla (my favorite), a Moroccan flaky pastry w/ roasted almonds, saffron chicken, and eggs topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon Braised short ribs w/ plums, honey & almonds (very popular among my guests) Lemon chicken Tagine w/ olives Sauteed fish with vegetables & spicy chermoula Saffron rice w/ sweet peppers and peas Dessert- Almond Briouates Chocolate Chip Cookies Moroccan fruit salad w/ rose water and honey The portions were more than what we could eat and everyone enjoyed being able to experience something different that is not offered at any restaurant on Maui.
