“This place was recommended to us by our friends who have been coming here for years. This is not a flashy high end tourist spot it is authentic, not fussy and true to its roots.A popular restaurant, we dropped in early evening without a reservation on our way back to the airport and were seated right away.A hidden gem is the perfect description, with a extensive vegetarian menu it was perfect, the service was excellent, our choices arrived piping hot and altogether.“

“The only place to go on Maui to enjoy. Great drinks, great food and great people. If you are looking to have fun it's the right place to go. Contrary to what I saw on the other post it was extremely safe. Bartenders and owners made us feel comfortable and safe. Moral of the story if you act like a pretentious dick you'll find the same treatment anywhere in the world. If you are respectful you'll get treated with respect.“

“TL;DR - Amazing new "mainland style" Chinese restaurant here in Maui! Don't get me wrong - I do love the foods of Hawai'i, but I also appreciate different flavors too. Fried rice is one of my all-time favorite dishes. When I moved to Maui years ago, I ordered fried rice and was shocked by the smoky, meaty flavor of the local style. I love it but I also couldn't find the fried rice of my childhood. Today I found it at Maui Lemongrass and I am so excited! Everything we had was excellent - Chicken Chow Mein, Veggie Spring Rolls, fried rice, and Egg Foo Young. We also noticed the family in the booth next to us say "this is like New York Chinese food!" so it wasn't just us who had the feeling of familiarity. I also really appreciated that you could taste the freshness of the cooking and the ingredients. "Mainland style" Chinese might evoke a range of quality from legit restaurants to small takeout places selling fast food delivery. This is the nice restaurant type! This kind of good Chinese restaurant was my grandma's favorite for dining out, if she was still alive and could visit me this would be at the top of the list for places to take her for dinner. If a guy wants to take his grandma there you know it's good! We will be back soon for more delicious food!“
