Hale Kai is all about the ocean views, but the food makes it worth whatever wait you will have. First time there, we enjoyed the chicken tacos and grilled swordfish sandwich, both delicious. Later in our stay, the grilled ono and hamburger were solid if not spectacular. Had to end up vacation with Kona Coffee Mud Pie -- oh my was it exceptionally tasty!!

It was nice to be able to do it with a great view.I wanted to order Labster fried rice, but because the cooking place was being remodeled, there wasn't much I could order. The food I ordered tasted good and the service was excellent, but the amount of food for the price seemed too small, unlike typical American food.

Great views, similar ambiance and service to Browns which is right next to it, didn't need a reservation. Poke and lobster fried rice both excellent.

Dining at this restaurant was an absolute delight. The menu boasted a tantalizing array of dishes, each one leaving a lasting impression on my palate. The service was top-notch, with the staff displaying a rare combination of professionalism and friendliness. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply seeking a memorable meal, this establishment delivers an exceptional experience that keeps you coming back for more.

Food was beyond overpriced for what it was. My fries were ice cold, food was ice cold and I would say you just have to care about what you are doing! We all care for $200 for 4 people. I had the chicken sandwich, my son had the pepperoni pizza, and my other son had the lobster fried rice. Very very Applebee's esk for quadruple the price. Bad deal here, especially for the Fairmont! We are staying here currently. Please make it up to us. I know you care. This was a very very low quality meal!

Fish & Chips were soggy, it was like a pancake wrapped fish. Server was so kind though. Pretty views!

First night of our stay, we headed here for some celebration margaritas. We felt like the staff didn't really want to serve us as it was 15 minutes from closing. Our $25 margaritas were served in paper cups even though everyone around us had plastic tumblers. The next day, we attempted to have lunch with our parents, but service again was awful. Took a long time just to get greeted and waters. Every step of the process took so long. We sat with empty glasses for over 20 minutes. It's not a great start to our stay here. Hopefully, your experience is better.

The lobster fried rice is what I’ve been waiting for in every other fried rice I’ve tried. 10/10. With huge whole pieces of lobster, and a healthy serving it’s the perfect dish for a luxurious poolside meal. It’s a pricey dish, but oh girl, is it worth it.

The Garlic shrimp was to die for! Smores experience was okay... the graham crackers were not good. But the marshmallows were great!
