We were recently on the island and were looking for a place to stop for lunch. Saw the sign on the side of the road and decided to take a chance. As voted by our family of 4 it was the best place we ate on our whole trip. DO NOT miss stopping here for food!!! The lady that took our order and brought it to us was amazing! The service was fast. The food was mouth watering! If I could give this place 10 stars I would!

Stop the car right now. “But honey I don’t want tacos”. Don’t listen to her. She doesn’t know what good tacos are anyways. THIS is the taco place you’ve been looking for. Hit this place up thinking how bad could it be? It’s legit! I got the Kalua pork taco. AMAZING!Why haven’t you stopped the car yet?

Stopped in town before our trek up Waimea Canyon and saw Island Taco at our side. it was only 10:15am, but I ventured inside and spoke to a lady who was super friendly and talked about their fantastic Hawaiian style tacos. Figured it was worth a shot, and she described them with great detail. Wasn’t hungry until about noon, and the food stayed nice and warm believe it or not because they covered them in aluminum foil. upon the first few bites I was in on. I had the black and mahi burrito and it was incredible! Others with me had tacos with mahi and chicken and we’re also very pleased. The dirty rice was excellent and the beans as well. Highly recommend this place.

This is a hole in the wall taco stand but the tacos are super delicious. It’s kinda like a fusion Mexican/Hawaiian place. The servings are hearty & the prices are super reasonable. We shared a Ahi Wasabi Taco plate & it was just enough for both of us. The hot salsa is killer hot but the mild is super deliciousThere is a long line cos’ the woman is a waitress & cashier. She is so quick & friendly. Highly recommend this Taco stand.Parking: We parked on the street the lot was full

This is literally the 'hole in the wall' must visit taco place! We spent the day at the canyons and were looking for a place to eat. Thankfully we found this place, the food is SO GOOOOOOOODI had a pulled pork burrito ? and it was just delicious. They have solid outdoor seating, where the local roosters will come say hi as you chow down.

A must visit stop in Kauai. Tacos are mind blowing and such friendly service there. Get the cilantro lime sauce that can come on the side! Our favorite meal during our stay.

Absolutely disgusting. If I could give this place a zero, I would. The ahi tacos were inedible as the fish had turned. You could smell the horrible smell of the bad fish from across the table. I brought it to the server’s attention and she said that was the way it was supposed to taste. I love fresh ahi and poke usually…this was repulsive. To top it off, there was poop smeared all over the floor. ?I wouldn’t risk getting food poisoning or waste your money at this place.

This place is awesome, I feel like it is more than 4 stars, I'll give it a 4.5 for lunch. The ahi tacos were so good, they had this rub on them and were perfectly cooked, highly recommend stopping by for taco while you are driving through.

So glad we stopped here! I had a beef burrito, Chimichanga style, with no sweet chili sauce (I had the cilantro sauce instead). I also had the cinnamon strips and chips and salsa. Everything was so good. The service was wonderful, too!

We stopped here after coming down from our hikes. 11/10! Good respectful service with kind people. Homemade foods/sauces. We had the blacked steak and the classic burrito with the mild sauce and omg so good! We didn’t take any photos because we ate it so fast. Highly recommend going here!! Mahalo ?

While in the area, during a recent vacation, we stopped at Island Taco for a late lunch. The wait was longer than expected, since it was still rather busy and, from what it looked, only two people working; one taking orders and general housekeeping of the dining area, the other cooking. The food arrived as ordered and was worth the wait---the best tacos and burrito had so far on any of the Islands, and just about anywhere else.
