I was soooo disappointed with my choice to eat here for the first time. It was between here and pandas and honestly I should’ve stuck with pandas because atleast it would’ve been consistent. I went with this place because all the pictures and the reviews looked good, but …after trying it out, sadly I will not be coming back. I will say though the cashier seemed pretty nice and friendly, so that was a plus.I got the loco moco and after the first bite I knew it was gonna be bad. The gravy, burger patty and eggs lacked any kind of flavor. My second bite had shells in my eggs and the yolks were already hard, not runny one bit.My son took two bites of his food which was the Kalbi and he stopped eating it. The meat tasted burnt although it didn’t look burnt, I’m assuming maybe the grill, idk but it tasted burnt and was extremely chewy. Not for us!Very disappointing but I mean this was my experience, it doesn’t seem like everyone has the same experience but as for us, we will not be returning, especially paying the price we paid for our food, no thank you.

Fatboys came IN CLUTCH when I needed 14 mini bentos that afternoon for our flag football team! It was our week to bring snacks for the team so I put in the order by phone in the morning and they were ready for pickup in store by 12 pm. The mini bentos are da bomb- rice with furikake, teri beef, garlic chicken, and hotdog for $7.99 and everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. I was first considering Zippys for zip pacs but the price for the mini zip pac was $11+ and only came with rice, fried chicken, and teri beef so I said nah let's look elsewhere. SO GLAD we went with Fatboys. They packed all the bentos in a box for us with forks and napkins, making it very CONVENIENT and EASY for us to bring straight to the park. I would definitely recommend Fatboys if you are looking for bentos for family/friend outings and team events. Go Fatboys!

FIRE THE ASAIN GUY TAKING THE ORDERS PLEASE. He is ruining your business. It's funny, I noticed it seems the BAD reviews were all about the same person with the LOUSY PERSONALITY. The food is great, BUT and that's a very BIG BUTT, I am assuming it was the owner or at least the boss, but it was like talking to the characters from THE WALKING DEAD. I am talking about the ZOMBIES. He had absolutely the worst personality allowed on a living human being. I don't mean like angry or mad, I mean DEAD INSIDE, no expression, no smile just a blank stare. Even complimenting the food by saying "it looks wonderful". I got NOTHING, ZERO. I could have made my order to a chair and got the same response. I mean from the time I ordered, NOTHING, to the time my order was delivered NOTHING. Asked how's business, he actually said, "meh". Oh, if you order take-out, it looks so much smaller than people who sitting down eating the same thing. Maybe a visual effect, nope. There plates were filled. Maybe get some dancing girls or even a fish tank, ANYTHING.

Got one of the daily specials. Spicy Ai pokey bowl. A good deal at $13. The owner was friendly and helpful. This was the third place. I tried for lunch. The first two places advertised having brown rice, but didn’t have any when I got there. This place did, so kudos to them. Going to eat here instead of Panda Express from now on when I’m in the area.Seemed like everybody was getting takeout. The dining area is comfortable with a lot of natural light, and they keep it clean. They were actively cleaning while I was there.

Mom and I ordered takeout. She got loco moco I got the hash patty with fried rice. My corn beef hash was very good, super tasty. Fried rice has peas in it. I like peas so I enjoyed that too. Took a bite of mom's burger very tasty and brown gravy was delicious. Her white rice was pretty hard and dry though. Overall good food.
I wasn't planning on getting food from here but when you've had an afternoon at Kaiser with kids followed by a mad dash through Costco, you take what's around you. The kids wanted L&L but I didn't want to battle Pearl city traffic. When we walked in, guy taking orders was very nice. My daughter wanted a mini loco moco. I didn't see mini for dinner but guy was nice & gave the lunch mini loco moco. She said it was very good but sauce for me was a bit salty. My son ordered fish & chips.. said it was the best he had.. better than L&L. Littlest boy ordered katsu & didn't talk while he ate which means was really good. I ordered the pork chops. It was cooked perfectly..tender & juicy. Gravy same as loco moco so a bit salty for me but it could be cause I usually eat low salt. It also had lots of caramelized onions which I love

I can see why this establishment has gone down hill...gentleman behind the counter has ZERO personality and acts like my family and I are wasting his time.The food has gotten really bad. The fried chicken is hard, garlic chicken is hard and super salty, and the bbq meat is beyond salty. The spam and hotdog were the only things on my plate that were actually edible.

I love Fat Boy cuisine!!! We stopped in at the Waipio location and was immediately greeted, ready to take our order. There were many options to choose from so it took us awhile to decide. We opted for the loco moco for hubby and the homemade corned beef hash for myself with take out fried rice for our children. I also got a great illy coffee- smooth. It was generous portions so I could share later with our son who loves them. The ambiance is casual and maybe the seats need new upholstery but it's clean and good. Sorry no pics this time...we were too hungry
