My wife and I like coming here and enjoying the Mediterranean food, since they usually have gluten free options available. It was a last minute decision to choose to go and knowing full well that it was 8:45pm, I went anyways with guilt knowing it is getting close to closing time. I got into the store at 8:52pm, and I went in to get an order for my wife to go. The workers behind the counter asked 'What do I want?' I asked if I could just do a gluten free wrap or pita to go. They said they only working on online orders for the last ten minutes of the store being open. So, I said okay, no argument because it's late and just looked at my watch saying 8:53 and the sign on the door saying 9pm. I am just wanting clarification on closing times and expectation from the restuarant.

I made a mistake in coming here thinking it was similar to another mediterranean restaurant west of Des Moines. Here, my falafel was made by putting all the 'toppings' in the bottom of the pita along with a tiny squirt of tahini and then shoving four large falafel balls in top. There was no mixing of flavors possible. Very little flavor in the $11 pita sandwich. Will not return and will instead drive the distance for a real authentic falafel.

I stopped in a month ago completely unaware of how awesome this place is. Told them up front I had no idea what to order and they walked me through everything they offer. I loved my food and came back again today to tell them how excited I am to have them coming to Ames. It's so fresh and taste great. New favorite. :)Vegetarian options: Mushrooms, lentils, and falafel as a sub for meat. Lots of choices that veg friendly.
