Went here for the first time recently and had a great experience. The pizza and onion rings were delicious, the service was great, and the restaurant wasn't stuffy and had a good vibe. Highly recommend if you're in Ankeny!
If I ever want Chicago, deep dish, style pizza I go here. The cheese bread and other apps are also delicious while you want for the pizza. For the cost what your getting I would even say it's only mid and not high tier cost as well. All around server could be a tad more attentive and a "want to be there" but that's just a nit picky thing. Overall very good place to go and could of just been a bad night for her to be fair. Been here 3 times now and food always fantastic. Calzones also real good.Kid-friendliness: We had our 2 year old with us and there were 0 problems.

Highly recommend! My team & I were able to order 3 pizzas from their signature items & they were all INCREDIBLE. The pizza was a hit & we asked for 3 different types/styles of pizzas & were able to enjoy all of them. I have been inside of Wig & Pen quite a few times and also agree the service has always been amazing, the lighting is a little darker for mood setting but wonderful environment all around.

Top notch pizza as always! Enjoyed some fried pickles as well. When it gets busy the wait time for pizza is a bit excessive so bare that in mind.Parking: Plenty of spots unless it's busy
Fine pub with good pizza. Super busy on a Saturday night though. The wait for the table was long. The wait for the drinks was long. The wait for the food was really really long. Finally the food hit the table and was good. Service was friendly and apologetic. If I came back, I'd pick another night other than Saturday.

Ordered a to go pizza was told 45-50 minutes. Timed to be at the pickup time. Pizza was cold... which meant to me it was done sooner than the 45-50 minute told. I was within minutes could have been notified it was done sooner or don't say 45 if ahead of production. Lil disappointed in the cold pizza. I would rather wait for a hot pizza than get a cold one.

Took well over an hour to get two pizzas and a sandwich. When we arrived it was about 445pm and they were maybe at 15% capacity. So not busy at all. When we left they were at 60-70% capacity and others were comparing about timeliness of food. Love the pizza but it's already slow but not usually that slow. Will think twice about going back...
