“Very nice decor and setting. Extensive bourbon list of course. Very good wine list. I wanted to rate them 4.5 stars but there isn't that option. The salads were excellent with a very good Caesar salad and a seasonal salad. My companions loved the pasta dish with scallops. They also loved the short rib gnocchi. The lobster risotto was exceptional and generous. The lobster bisque though on the other hand did not have any lobster although that could be the chef's choice. The steak was good and cooked to the ordered degree, but did not taste prime but choice quality. The brussel sprouts on the side were excellent. I would go again.“

“Hemispheres is THE premier dining experience in the Quad Cities. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and highly attentive. When you come to Hemispheres, be prepared to stay awhile and truly enjoy every part of your dining experience. Every single dish is cooked and created to perfection. Some favorites include the nachos (the BEST nachos you will ever have), the crab cakes, the salmon with huckleberry finishing sauce, the side carrots and risotto. You truly cannot go wrong with any item on the menu. To drink, I highly recommend the Gold Rush as well as any of their red wines. The desserts are decedent…I cannot recommend the sticky bread pudding enough. Hemispheres is truly a high class dining experience and you will not leave disappointed!“

“We hadn't been in since Mickey's (previous name and owners) closed and decided to give it a go today. We were pleasantly surprised how open and airy it felt and a completely different look than Mickey's had. It was well lit and very clean. The servers were wonderful! Our drinks were constantly refilled, and not always by our server - any server walking by offered coffee, which I loved. Our meals were delicious and generous portions. I had the Hobo Skillet and had it with the country potatoes as opposed to hash browns. There was just enough potatoes, so as to not over take the dish. The amount of green peppers and onions was plentiful, as was the sausage. I opted for the pancakes as my side and was pleasantly surprised at the fluffiness and light, airy texture. (I'm not a pancake fan as a rule, but glad I ordered these. Although, one went home with us.) The cheese topping was wonderful - ooey and gooey and melty! And the over medium eggs were perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the ham and cheese omelet with cheddar as his cheese and he also commented on the amount of cheese and ham in his dish. We liked the option of fresh fruit as opposed to just potatoes. Dan said the fruit was very fresh. My only "complaint" was that the coffee wasn't as strong as I like, but the flavor of it was fine. We were sorry we hadn't given this lovely little Cafe a try before now.Parking: Asphalt lot with no pot holes and we'll tended. The parking is ample for the size of the restaurant.“

“I went here in 2023 when I was in town for a tournament. They had a few vegan options and the food was great. I came back in January 2024 and they don't have the tofu anymore, but they have a rice and black bean bowl which was really good. The person working there said that they normally keep some tofu on hand, but it wasn't fresh when I came.“

“We flew 4 families from around the country to crash at a local Airbnb for a family reunion. We decided to take a stroll to the Valley Country Cafe, at the recommendation of my mom (who had eaten there the day before), with 10 people on a Friday morning. Immediately impressed, they had a table ready for us (my mom had warned them we were coming) and were on top of drinks within moments of us arriving. I'm always pleased with a carafe of coffee at the table, so we didn't have to ask for refills. This was a nice touch! The menu has just about anything you could ask for, from pancakes & crepes, to omelets and a variety of biscuit & gravy options... The kids & grownups alike were beyond excited by the sprinkles and chocolate chip options for the pancakes. They kept on top of our drink refills, our food arrived promptly & was hot and delicious, and service was amazing. The entire staff was friendly and easy to talk to. They didn't hesitate to bring hot sauces or refills whenever we'd asked. The food was delicious! Hot, fresh, well seasoned! I usually cringe at the idea of taking a large party out to eat, because inevitably - something goes wrong... but not this time. It was an amazing experience, from service to food, all the way around. We will definitely be back when we're in town again!“

“It's nice to have MLK day off from work - three-day weekends are great from school, and their just as good in adult life. After a day spent largely across the river in Rock Island and East Moline, I took a rest at home. I needed a night cap and some dinner however. What better way to accomplish both of those things than a quick trip out to a nearby bar?I have no other reason to traverse Central Avenue in Bettendorf. I live within a 5 minute drive of Central Ave Tap, but I don't need to visit Neil Armstrong Elementary, nor is there anything else along the road for me to visit currently. I've driven by before on my way to visit friends that live in the area, just never stopped in here ever for a drink or food. Well, that changes tonight - I needed a gin and tonic and a burger before bed! There's not too much to say about Central Ave Tap. Its a bar in the bottom half of a building all to itself. There're two pool tables, a few dart boards, and a long bar that runs the whole length of the space. Newish wood laminate floor covers most of the inside, as does the newer looking drop ceiling. There's a TouchTunes jukebox along the wall - one of the new variety that lets anyone with the corresponding phone app play anything they like with the touch of a button from their phone. Suffice to say, the space is well maintained and clean.I settled at the bar on my visit and got my gin and tonic to start. They only had well gin - Fleischmann's I think? - it was fine, made a good G&T. After a quick perusal of the menu, I settled on a burger and fries, both of which I got to watch the bartender prepare right from my seat at the bar. This was a new experience for me - the stove and, really, the entire kitchen area are right there, unsegregated from the rest of the space, to watch as you please. It was actually kind of neat, plus the food came out super fresh.I enjoyed both the burger and fries. The burger was a simple pre-formed frozen patty, but it tasted fresh all the same. The fries were crinkle cut, fried to crispy perfection. The total portion size was exactly what I needed for the evening - not too much, not too little.Given a similar urge, I'd come back here for another burger. It felt kind of weird just randomly coming here. The space had the distinct feeling of being a local pup, a sort of common space for mostly those that lived close by. I hope I didn't intrude much. It's definitely a nice space. Thanks Central Ave Tap!“

“This place just gets better with each visit! Our server was attentive and patient. We never had to ask for refills or when our food was coming because everything flowed like a well choreographed dance. The food was worth every penny and then some! Meaty wings, sauced just right. Crisp and hot french fries. Outstanding taco pizza. Grilled to perfection burger and the salad didn't make me feel like I was eating less than while trying to make better choices eating out. The Daytona Sauce is delicious and we couldn't have been any happier with our visit!“
