Me and my buddy try to visit friends in Iowa at least once a year, so we're pretty familiar with the bars frequented there. Our friends told us about this new place so we were willing and ready to go. We weren't disappointed. It looks new and modern, and above all, clean. It was slow at first when we got there, but it picked up later with a bunch of people. The clientele was real laid-back and not obnoxious. A 1860 tornado surviving building which has been restored into a beautiful gathering place to meet friends for fun. Hide's is located a 1/2 block from the Mississippi river. Stop in and check out this great place!

It's a great little neighborhood bar. The bartender, Sarah, was very friendly and welcoming, and took good care of her customers. The other customers, most of whom are regulars, were friendly as well. They don't take cards or checks, but they do have an ATM.
