I have never been to a bar with such an upbeat, very welcoming atmosphere. The live music was amazing to listen to and the bands got 100 percent of the door charge. The bartenders were walking around making sure everyone had what they needed with nothing but a smile on their face.They have an amazing sounds system so the three bands I listened to was easy to hear in the back of the room. Excellent atmosphere! This is a true pillar of our community's live music scene. Sit down for an hour on any off night and you're guaranteed to hear at least a handful of songs that get your toe tapping (and you'll be pleased when you cash out, too--nobody beats Octopus's prices!). I can say with confidence that this place is always a vibe. For college hill it’s nice, especially if you like the more indie/alternative scene.
