“Went there with a friend to listen to his cousin sing. I’m from Alabama and don’t get out much so it was nice to find somewhere to go where you don’t feel like a stranger. I really wish I could remember the name of the band that played because I really enjoyed their music.“
“This place feels like being at a friend's home. It isn't the cleanest, but it has a welcoming atmosphere that feels real and not sterile. The food had amazing flavor and came out hot. The staff were kind and efficient. They have many tvs, if you are going to watch sports.“
“I've been here twice. Both times the favorite meal was the Jack Daniel's Burger. The first time with pepper jack cheese instead of the Swiss and the second time with Swiss. I prefer the pepper jack, it gives it a little more bite. The onion rings or the fries are good. I love that they have Tip The Cow on tap.“
“Hadn't been to Pump Haus in decades.... there are several great options in downtown Cedar Falls. Easy to forget some of the possibilities, but met up with some friends here. Had a burger topped with pulled pork and fries along with a couple of Surf Zombies. I was impressed. Attentive service and delicious food. I don't expect I'll wait decades to get back there.“

“Try this hidden gem - you won't be disappointed! My husband and I eat here often and also place "to-go" orders, as we live close by. The food is excellent and the menu has something for everyone. I've never had a bad meal at Gilmore's. The staff is excellent, they great you by name and make sure your needs are being met without being intrusive. Located at the Western Home, it is quiet and peaceful, but it is definitely not a nursing home feel. If you're looking for an adult beverage, the drinks are very good, with an extensive wine and beer menu. While you're there, check out The Market. The best description is an upscale convenience shop. Try Gilmore's Pub, but make sure you have a reservation if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday evening.“
