“As always, the wine and onion rings were phenomenal. However, I am disappointed with dinner entrees at J. Bruner's. Seems nothing is seasoned at all. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. Granted, I got just that. A sandwich with a slab of plain, tasteless chicken. Same for the Brussels sprouts side. Plain, cooked, no seasoning. I may as well have stopped by a hospital and eaten at the cafeteria. 🫤”

I think every town should have a square don't you? Anyway, if you're traveling through Clarinda Iowa make sure you stop here to get something great for your body.. I know, I know we were all told just drink water and we're all going to be fine. Well, I have news for you you need something more in your body besides pure water. This place has it all except for wheatgrass and spirulina, but anyway I got a pineapple sunrise and I don't think that I felt more alive since I touched that electric fence 3 days ago. I digress. “Shirley and I had the Garrison special breakfast today. It is a half French toast sandwich with turkey, ham, cheese and of course syrup is available. Also included was a side of hash browns. The special was great and we would highly recommend that you try it.”

“Robin has made many birthday cakes for us over the years. She really shows her artistic abilities when decorating each cake….. she doesn’t disappoint. The best part is that they taste delicious as well! Highly recommend! We look forward to eating breakfast there the morning we pick up our cakes! My favorite is her stuffed French toast with strawberries! Her staff has always been super friendly, making you feel right at home.”

“The prime rib is one of my favorites. It’s tender and the perfect temperature. The lasagna is a close second as it taste just like my grandma’s. I definitely feel like I’m getting a home cooked meal every time I eat here!”

“I went to Hua Yung with my friends and we really enjoyed our time there. The food was really good. I took fried rice, teriyaki chicken, honey chicken and spring roll. That's was the best Chinese meal I've had in a while. The customer service is also awesome. It also have great seats. It's a great restaurant for friends and family who want to hung out and enjoy good meals.”

“This is McDonald's. The food is about what you'd expect from a McDonald's, which is great if you're in the mood for McDonald's. Nothing quite replaces McDonald's fries, being in a tier of their own, comparing them to other fries seems unfair. The McNuggets are uniquely flavored and textured, you can get chicken nuggets from other places or frozen, but it won't be a McNugget. The burgers are fine. It tastes like a McDonald's burger, which is nice if that's what you want. Their burger patties aren't the largest or offer much in mouthfeel, however. Washing it all down with an oversized fountain Coke completes the experience.

This particular location's service can vary depending on who's working or how busy they are, but typically lands on average to fairly quick. The staff seem competent, if not maybe overworked.

The prices are getting pretty high, though. For about the same price you can get a meal at McDonald's, you can buy much higher quality food from a non-fast food restaurant; even order carryout if you want if you want it to go.”
