“Yesterday, my husband and I tried El Toro in Clinton. I have long since just enjoyed Mexican for what it is usually is outside of the western states, Tex mex. I was raised by a nana who made a fresh pot of frijoles weekly, that she usually had me wash for her, and roasted her chiles on the comal for her salsa until the smoke cleared the room. Every time she’d see me “Queres comer mija?” and you never told nana no. I had beans & eggs with verde salsa and fresh tortillas with her countless times. I have never found anything similar to her beans in any state I’ve been to, until yesterday. The beans is always my test, that and the tamales. I judge tamales to be like my Tias, who would make them all day from scratch; the only reicipe I follow myself. Everything, minus the salsa, was perfect. The music had me genuinely dancing in my seat, the food made me want to order seconds, and to add a plus, Jesse found the queso he loves so much from his hometown. The service was great and personable, we had several fun conversations with the staff. I can’t recommend it enough and I look forward to returning. It felt a lot like home. Thank you from this second generation Mexican American family, you made our day.”

“Great place in downtown Clinton. A long time established restaurant for a good reason. Food is delicious and portions are generous. Everyone is super friendly.
Had the poblano mole chicken which had a different twist than ones that have had before. A little bit more sweeter with a little bit more hint of cinnamon in it. Very delicious. Tacos were very generous portions with the right amount of seasoning.

I love making homemade chicken noodle soup for when he feels bad, but when I don’t have the energy to make it for myself you are the go to!! “My family and I had dinner out for a treat. We all got our own dish.

My husband ordered a BLT pizza for himself. This is his favorite pizza ever! He left full and happy.

Our son ordered a personal sausage pizza, that he completely devoured.

For dessert he got a double scoop bubble gum waffle cone.

I ordered a cauliflower pizza with sausage, green peppers, onion and mushroom. It was amazing!

For dessert I got a double waffle cone as well, bubble gum and cotton candy.

Happy Joe's never disappoints.

“Hadn't been to Legends in about 7 years, my boyfriend and I stopped in spontaneously while in Clinton from out of town, and I was happy to see they were still open. Friendly staff who kept up with a fairly full bar/pool hall, and the drinks were delicious, after we had a fair priced beer and a seltzer, we decided to stay, and I had a watermelon whiskey lemonade that tasted like a jolly rancher, we both tried the Moscow Mules, that were refreshing and tasty. For sure going to be one of our future outings. (Side note the food was super good. Crisp fries and as somone who doesnt care for seafood, the deep fried shrimp my boyfriend ordered tasted so good when he had me try one.) Generous servings also, he had eaten part of his food before these pictures were taken) :)

Kid-friendliness: Seen a man bring a little boy up to a shelf with plenty of different board games and other card/game options. we were there around 7:30 p.m.”

“This bar is a gem in the heart of the Midwest, conveniently located for both locals and visitors. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly, making it a great spot for a night out. The selection of drinks is impressive, and the food menu has some fantastic options. However, the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that when I ordered a soda, the water had a slightly odd smell, which was a bit off-putting. Overall, it's a solid choice for a snack while passing thru the town, but they might want to check on that water issue.”

“Finally got a load back to the area. Friendly staff. The wait wasn't long at all. You can dine in or carry out. Just around the wall is a sitting area. They brought my food out to me. Not sure if that's the norm but, I appreciated it. I ordered the Double Cheese Burger with bacon & Wedges. Everything tasted fresh and juicy. I couldn't finish all my burger but I tried.. lol”

“I had an AMAZING experience today at Dunkin’. My friend and I originally came here to get drinks. My friend got her drink and while I was waiting for mine, one of the workers asked us if we wanted free donuts. Of course, we’re like heck yeah! We were expecting like maybe 2 donuts, but he whipped out a big box and we were like oh my gosh period. He let us pick out a whole box worth of whatever donuts we wanted. Definitely not what we were expecting. He was super duper nice to us + he made my fav drink (mango pineapple refresher), and it was AMAZING 🔥🔥. His lip gloss was also poppin’ I honestly kind of wanted it. I should have asked what his name was so I could include it in this review because he definitely deserves to be praised. THANK YOU for the donuts it made my friend’s and my day!!!”

“My hotel was next so walked into the Casino because I was bored. Its very small and they only have dice and card tables open on certain days. The place was extremely clean. For a place that still has smoking indoors, they must have an amazing ventilation system because you cant smell it at all.”
