They are always greeting with a smile and patience. My husband watches for the special of the day and he loves the vday drinks and the chicken sandwich with the ham and bacon omg had me hooked. I’m not much of a fried person but this establishment didn’t come to play the food is great definitely worth it 10000/10000”

It was my grandparents favorite to gather. We have continued meeting here as a family my whole adult life as well. “A cool place in Clinton. Needed a quick bite to eat after clinching US 30 across Iowa on a recent road trip, and I'm glad I stopped in. The food and drink were good, and the bartender Amanda was very friendly and pleasant. Judging from some of the previous visitors' photos, this looks to be quite the local haunt for many, and it's not hard to see why. Not necessarily the most appealing place from the outside, but aren't those always the best places to go once you're inside? Stop by Manning's Whistle Stop if your visiting Clinton.”

“Great food. The waitresses work hard but are understaffed. The place is busy in the evenings and the waitresses and bartenders can't keep up. Breakfast was great. Just bring your own jelly for the toast. Legends doesn't suppy for some reason.”

“This used to be my favorite, I went with the kids when they were little all the time. Unfortunately it seems overcrowded and more costly than ever... not as great. I preferred the Fulton shop which is also pricy but tastes much better and not as crowded. If only they took credit card.”

“This bar has great food and friendly service. They offer the usual bar activities, huge menu, and plenty of cold drinks. We enjoyed the Sriracha cheese curds, boom boom shrimp wrap, bacon cheeseburger, and homemade fries.”

“Finally got a load back to the area. Friendly staff. The wait wasn't long at all. You can dine in or carry out. Just around the wall is a sitting area. They brought my food out to me. Not sure if that's the norm but, I appreciated it. I ordered the Double Cheese Burger with bacon & Wedges. Everything tasted fresh and juicy. I couldn't finish all my burger but I tried.. lol”

“I came in to eat and have a few drinks the food was great the different drinks were great the service was great it started getting busy towards the end of my visit a few others customers started getting upset for having to wait a little bit longer the staff still stayed polite with them”

“You are safe if you're gf here; they have some of the best procedures for food safety I've ever seen. Workers are always so kind & it's a great experience every time. The best cream soda around too.”

“Excellent customer service displayed by Angie at the front registers yesterday! During the downpour late afternoon several customers were waiting to run to our cars until the storm subsided. Angie showed us to the drive up and offered to have someone load groceries for us. She also offered solutions to keep our frozen products cold until the rain let up. It’s excellent customer concern like Angie displayed that keeps me coming back to Hyvee.”

“The location of this establishment is not inviting or warm. The parking lot had enough vehicles in it that something was extremely wrong or right. It turned out to be right. Welcomed as soon as we walked in. Sat at the bar and greeted by the bartender who turned out to be the manager. She introduced us to the owner. The beer selection on tap was ample. Speaking of ample, the capacity of this restaurant is 450. Balconies, huge pool table room as well as plenty of seating. The food was good. I wouldn't order the cod I had again. It was tasty but also greasy. My wife stated her food was good.\nWould go back again.”
