The service was a little slow, but considering that we were there In the early afternoon on the Tuesday before Christmas, it's totally understandable. You brought our entrées out and got my order wrong, but was quick to remedy the situation, and when it came out, my food was phenomenal. Very hot and fresh. The atmosphere is very cool reminded me of a "new wave" Mexican restaurant. Wasn't busy but there again, were there in early afternoon and it happened to be a Tuesday. But according to some of my friends that live in the IRL, it's never really that busy, so do yourself a favor and head on over there and give them a shot!!! Speaking of which, they do have some really good tequilas as well.

Stopped in tonight with a group of 6. This place has such a cool vibe and an extensive drink menu. I had a steak burrito and a draft beer. The queso was rich & creamy and the guacamole was fresh & delicious. Good food/ Good service.

I am traveling for work and used Yelp to find this place because I was craving some tacos. It was a pretty neat place! I went on a Tuesday night and it was pretty slow. Only about three groups in there. However, that means service was super quick! The staff was very friendly, and my food came out really quick. I ordered a blueberry margarita, and it was really good! I was confused at why it wasn't blue, but that's because they use real/fresh blueberries and mash them up inside the drink. I also ordered the quesabirria tacos and they were so good! And it comes with consommé. I ate every bit! And they don't fall apart when you're trying to eat them. They hold their shape very well. I would definitely go back. It's a pretty large space so it would be good for groups. I think it would be a cool spot to hang out on a weekend night. They have a pretty extensive drink menu as well.

Mediocre at best. $7 for corn on a stick with way too much mayo. Margarita was watered down and $10. Carnitas were over done mush meat. Burnt chips and queso. Rock hard dry tortillas. Shrimp taco didn't suck. Trendy little crap hole.

Ate dinner with family and a couple of friends. The server was nice but it tool a while to take our orders. We told our server that our daughter has a shellfish allergy and were told that it was not a problem. The food itself was ok but one of our friends found multiple hairs in their dish as well as hair in the chips and queso we ordered. The food was removed from the bill. The biggest problem, however, was that my daughter with the shellfish allergy ended breaking out in a rash which is her typical reaction to consuming food that has been in contact with shellfish. It is a good thing that my daughter does not have a life threatening reaction to shellfish, the situation could have so much worse if she did.

Really nice dining area. The margaritas were good. Unfortunately one of our meals had multiple hairs in it. They did comp the meal. One of the chips and queso also had multiple hairs as well. The service was not very good. We were sat at a table and waited over 10 minutes before we were greeted. Had to request refills. The staff is friendly but not very attentive.

The margarita, salad and dinner were absolutely delicious. Glad we decided to take a walk from our hotel to try it. Service was very good and the atmosphere was very inviting.

We went just after they opened and the food was delicious, service was great, and I loved the decor! Their queso is amazing! Highly recommend the seafood enchiladas.

The food was decent; however given the price, I would say it was underwhelming. There are cheaper places in Iowa City that have more complex flavors and taste. The drinks were very, very watered down. We had a group of 8 and everyone felt that they could not taste any hint of alcohol in the margaritas. As for service and ambiance, the service was friendly and the ambiance was very nice and upscale. It wasn't too busy when we went, so we were able to be seated quickly. I would love to make this place a frequent visit for margaritas given its location close to where I live, as well as for the ambiance. However, the watered down drinks really are the deal-breaker that convince me to select a different restaurant when craving Mexican food.

They need more employees and/or less tables. We waited an hour for food because one of our dinner companions insisted on waiting for food. I was begging to leave. Our chicken dishes were too spicy and the food was blah. They sat us at a terrible table by the kitchen. The workers almost collided with each other multiple times and they collided with customers. They need to make their kitchen entrance bigger, remove the table (we were seated at), and lower the arrow for the restrooms so customers stop entering the kitchen.
