We won't be back again. Could only get Happy Hour sitting at the bar? The food wasn't hot when served. Servers forgot items we ordered. Got tired of waiting and was so disgusted, we just left. Feel very cheated.

Love the Altoona location and never been disappointed. Finally tried this location today and was beyond disappointed. The Cheese squares were so soggy and oily, almost no crisp. We had the brisket platter, the sliced brisket bland and very tough and dry, chopped brisket was also terrible dry, the burnt ends were ok but everything tasted like a ton of taco seasoning had been added, mac and cheese was flavorless and the "baked beans" were absolutely terrible tasted as if the beans had been boiled with already rotten pre-diced onions. $60 wasted as we left 75% of the food and now I'm up throwing up with the worst stomach pains. We added chicken but asked the server if it was white or dark meat to which she responded it's all pretty light and followed with they're all mixed together. Needless to say this place is tarnishing the Jethro's name, oh and the causes were like water with very little flavor.

I ordered the ribs and boneless wing combo. I chose baked beans they were cold and cottage cheese for my sides. The ribs were dry, and I think the boneless wings were little fried up pieces of chicken tenders. All in all, the meal was mediocre at best. We will not be eating there again.

It was honestly just ok. The atmosphere is fun, the food was ok and the service was sub par. We were excited to try this out as it cam highly recommended but left in disappointment. I would rather go to Famous Dave's.

Not a good first experience. Got all the way home and the main part of my to go order was missing. Had to go all the way back to Coralville to get it. Gave away the gift card they offered to people walking in the door on my way out.

Was craving some BBQ while in town and decided to try out Jethro's. It Was Awesome!!! The food was great, great atmosphere, and the service was top notch. Our server was Rosalina was FANTASTIC, in these tough times it's so nice to go out and find a good vibe and Rosalina definitely delivered. Will definitely return and recommend to everyone in the area.
Food was really good. My wife and I split a family platter. Their pulled pork is great (from a guy who doesn't normally care for pulled pork), jalapeño sausage was really good, and the ribs were fantastic. Side salad was only so-so, but then again, this is a meat place, not a veggie place.Waitress was very attentive with our large party (13 of us), keeping drinks refilled without asking and bringing plates/utensils for the birthday cake we brought in.The only knock was that once the Iowa women's game started, every TV was tuned to that channel instead of all the assorted channels that were showing earlier. Guess that's to be expected in Iowa City, though.
