This restaurant is located on the 1st level of the Kruse building downtown. It is very stark and modern. The staff are Uber nice and extremely helpful. The serving size is plentiful. The menu is small and has just a few different options. The place has concrete floors and with tables and chairs.You order at the counter and they bring you your food. As I said the staff is extremely attentive.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Allora Cafe, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. If I didn't know I was in Des Moines, I'd believe Allora was in Milan, Italy. The food was fresh and delicious, and the coffee was perfection. The service was great, both unobtrusive and attentive (a balance not a lot of American restaurants at this price point seem to understand. Centro also does a great job balancing the two!)
