We were visiting from out of town in late January. Des Moines had just had a heavy snowfall and the streets were not in great shape so we wanted to find a BBQ restaurant close to our hotel and found Rrackss via the Yelp app. We were there at 6:00 on a Friday night and there were no customers in the restaurant. The food was amazing here! I had the rib eye, baked beans and creamed corn and my husband had the full rack of ribs, baked beans and jalapeño macaroni and cheese. My steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) beans were sweet and tangy and creamed corn was delicious! My husbands ribs (yes I sampled his too) were smoky and delicious! Our first time there and we'll be back. I gotta rave about the brisket-- absolutely fantastic. Staff is very friendly, the owner took time out to have a nice conversation with us. When we pulled up almost every space was taken and we assumed we would not get a table and briefly considered coming back some other "less busy" time. But we learned this is because clients from the next door yoga studio monopolize parking. So don't be psyched out because the food is sooo good.
