Vinnys doesn't allow split checks. They also don't tell you on that sign that they automatically add gratuity to parties over 6. Our waiter received a cash tip that was larger than the added gratuity because we weren't told it was already on the check to begin with. They also didn't mention it when we paid and we had to ask for the cash tip back. Shady? The food was not that great. The Italian beef was not slow cooked, but sliced deli beef that was microwaved, flavorless, tough and dry. The bread was white italian and crumbly dry. No pickled veggies offered. The Au Jus came from a dry packet you buy at Walmart. My wife's food had chili flakes AND chili oil, so it was too spicy to eat more than a few bites.Almost every entree was $16 or more.We aren't going back.

Waiter gave me and my date 2 napkins each time, I ordered the fettuccine seafood asked, for extra sauce and shrimp and barely got extra. We spent $100 on food that wasn’t even worth $50

The service and atmosphere were great. The waitress was very kind and helpful but the food was sub-par and arrived at our table lukewarm. The alfredo sauce did not taste fresh or homemade, it was very thick with a glue-like texture. To pay over $25 per plate for such food, we would've been better off to go to the Olive Garden. It's unfortunate, but we likely won't return to the Dubuque Vinny's.

We've been here a few times since moving to the area a few months ago, and each time the experience has been worse. First visit- seated immediately in nice dining area with great ambience, attentive waitstaff, excellent food. The next time, all the way back to the banquet room. Bright lights, kids, guys in ballcaps-no ambience at all-definitely no nice Italian restaurant vibe- more like Cracker Barrel. Server was hit or miss (mostly miss) and when she did reappear, she reeked of weed & still forgot to bring water we already asked for twice. Food was room temp, marginal & for some reason, this place serves toasted (buns?bread) instead of fresh bread‍. Gave it one more try last week & experience was the same as 2nd visit, except the weed smell hit us as soon as we walked in the door- before we were again seated in banquet hall. For the life of me, I don't know why the nicer area goes unused. Again with the toast, but this time we asked for fresh bread. After giving us a vapid look, server brought us a cold sub bun. In addition, each visit after the first felt like we got the bums rush. Server can say "no hurry" all they want, but very rushed is how it felt. That'll probably be it for us. We are both from areas of the country that have excellent Italian restaurants & really hoped this would be better.

I’ve been to Vinnie Venucci‘s three times having moved to Dubuque from Waterloo. The service is wonderful. I would have to make the two things I purchased the most recently and I’d have to say the food was fair. They’re just wasn’t a lot of flavor to either dish. I thoroughly enjoyed my time otherwise.Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegetarian dishes no none for totally plant-based diets on the menu, though they can customize those if you ask. The same with the dairy free though you miss a lot of the better dishes.Dietary restrictions: My daughter is on an all plant-based diet and my grandchild is on a no dairy diet. They were able to take this into account.Parking: There is a large lot behind the restaurant off of Main Street. However, it’s a good walk for someone who is handicap and they’re only a couple of handicap parking places in the front.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s an additional entrance for handicap people only for only on the first floor, Dining. This was very good when I went with a friend who was wheelchair bound.

Normally I'm chill when it comes to receiving a mediocre dining experience, but this would barely qualify. The food was shockingly terrible. The pasta was severely uncooked where it was hard and my chicken Marsala tasted like they put an entire bottle of wine in my dish. It tasted like straight booze. Freaking terrible. You've been warned. Or if you have no taste buds or standards then enjoy! I will say the garlic bread was amazing. Literally the only edible part of the meal was bread. Really sad.

AMAZING SERVICE!!! Our waiter came in a timely manner and checked in just the right amount of times! The food and drinks were great! Vinny Vanucchi's never disappoints!

Went for Valentines day - Paid a lot of money for what seemed like frozen chicken slices and practically nonexistent prosciutto - and our chocolate cake was still frozen and not easy to eat. Service was great, food was not.

From the moment we walked in till the moment we left, Vinny Vanucchi's was excellent! The music, the servers, the decor, the ambiance was exquisite, and of course the food was divine! Definitely a must if you're searching for a fancy and authentic Italian restaurant for friends and family to enjoy!

Initial service and free bread and salad was a great startZ. However, it went downhill quickly. Pizza was served cold/room temp. Dissatisfied. My pasta dish was fair, and my sons burger well done instead of the requested medium. Service was slow. She asked if we wanted check and never asked about dessert or coffee, which I wanted but gave up asking for because she seemed in a rush to get us out.
