I am visiting from Tampa, FL., and in Florida, no one knows what a kolache is. So on my visit back home, I would typically stop in to Sykora’s for a kolache. I discovered them to be closed and really wanted to find a kolache before heading back to Tampa. Someone mentioned My Moms Bakery in Ely. I am not disappointed. Only open 2 days a week, but worth altering your morning routine for. Get there early because they sell out quickly. The cinnamon rolls are light and not overly sweet or over saturated with cinnamon. I like this style, my kids could use a bit more of both. The Kolaches are top notch and the variety is really good. Not sure if they would be good on day 2 because ours never make it that long.
