My family and I ordered a lot from the menu today and we loved it! The food was probably the most authentic I've had since moving. The egg drop soup was average and the sizzling rice soup didn't have meat, but the tofu dry pot and eggplant was delicious! Highly recommend the bubble tea and chive dumplings. The portion sizes are great and nothing was too anything (oily.salty, sugary, etc). If you're looking for a new, flavorful chinese spot to try- you got to try this place. Also, they gave us some free cakes and we were actually celebrating my birthday so that was really sweet.

Best AUTHENTIC Chinese food in the city. This isn't the place if you want orange chicken, but real food. Hot oil dumplings are bomb dot com, chive dumplings, the noodle soups, scallion pancake, cumin skewers. All excellent if you understand that it's not a general tso chicken restaurant.

The only thing on the menu that never disappoints me are the crab rangoons. I've ordered from this place multiple times & i get a different dish every time hoping that this one will be better than the last. Their serving sizes are big enough to share but everything I've tried has been pretty bland. Also most of the noodle dishes are just noodles & meat (without a lot of meat) and it's $2 extra to add veggies. Definitely not the best in Iowa City.

I chose to order food from them because the menu has Chinese broccoli with garlic, which is one of my favorite greens. I was disappointed to see regular broccoli with garlic, while still good it was not what I wanted and would not normally pay so much just for vegetables. Their Boba milk tea is great, as was their salt and pepper pork ribs.

Amazing place. Master Zhang is a super amazing cook who makes best fishes here. Strongly recommending!

I ordered the Roasted Pork Belly and to say it was delicious is an understatement. The pork was succulent and flavorful, the potatoes were soft and melted in my mouth. The feeling I felt after eating this fantastic dish is not just full but deeply satisfied. It does not surprise me that the Chinese Embassy awarded this restaurant as “Favorite Restaurant in Iowa City.”

Had orange chicken delivered a few months back. Honestly, not really sure if it was chicken. Hard bits, mixed with weirdly colored chicken. I ate a little, then had to stop because the texture freaked me out. The egg rolls were good though. Probably won't be giving this place a second chance. A little scared to try.
Is this the restaurant that you will write your mom in Shanghai about as evidence that the American Midwest has good Chinese food? No. It is not. Is this the restaurant that can bring a serviceable lo me in to your door in 15 minutes at 1am on a Tuesday night after you and your white friends got so high that you forgot to eat dinner? Yes. This is that restaurant. Enjoy!

Man on the phone called me names when I asked for the vermicelli w minced pork calling me f-ing stupid. He even called back to harass me even more. His only English words were yelling what else and you're so f-omg stupid. I wish they had someone around that had better customer service, and here is the bonus-- I settled for hy-vee Chinese and It was WAY better, tbh this place freaks me out, If they are willing to harass you over a misunderstanding then I would hate to see how they treat others when orders get taken down wrong because this guy is a psycho for real
