“Really great food- highly recommend if you want to try something different. Have been a few times and am always pleased with the combination of flavors, the fresh ingredients, and just how tasty everything is. Would recommend the tuna kimbap for sure. Tried the tteok-bokki which was also delicious, but on the spicy side!“
“We have been getting their take out for awhile now and love everything we get. Always.piping hot and fresh tasting. Huge portions and good prices. Angela, owner at the register? Makes it a point to know you and is so friendly. You feel like they really try to please you and make you their best food possible Their egg rolls are wonderful also. Try Yen Ching. You won't be disappointed!“
“This is the best Chinese restaurant I've found in the area!! Don't let the unassuming location in a small strip mall fool you. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's what's on the inside that counts! Many menu choices offer "typical Chinese" options that are beyond tasty. HUGE portions! Friendly and fast service. Clean interior. Egg rolls, General Tso chicken and Chicago fried rice are my favorites so far. The prices seem high, but you'll be walking away with a ton of leftovers so it all evens out. They offer dine in and take out.“
“One of my Baby Mommas and I went here on a Saturday night at around 8:30 pm. She got the chicken teriyaki and I got the seaweed salad and a calimari dish. They were both fire. Usually, I make my baby mommas buy they own meals, on account of them keep raising my child support payments. But, When the bill came, it was lower than my baby momma's standards in men. So, I paid for the whole thing.“
“A romantic setting with great food, setting and ambiance. At Mandarin Spice you are greeted at the front door by a life sized Chinese Terracotta soldier statue. The restaurant is decorated throughout with similar impressive decorations. The food is superb. They offer dishes from throughout the Orient, including Japanese, Chinese, Singapore, Korea, etc. These include a long list of sushi, fried rice, noodles, soups, salads and other specialty dishes, like pad Thai and Korean Barbeque. In my opinion, the sushi is the best in Cedar Rapids, including raw, cooked and vegetarian rolls. If you like cooked sushi, check out the Monster Roll. It has tempura shrimp, cream cheese and crab. They're delicious. The appetizer combo is really good, too. It includes firecracker shrimp, egg rolls and cheese ragoons. They also, in my opinion, have the best fried rice dishes in town. They taste a lot like hibachi grill food. All of their dishes look and taste like they were cooked and plated by an expert chef. Also, Monday through Wednesday, they have half price sushi night.“
