This is my second time coming here and upon walking in, it gave me the same wonderful vibes of my first visit!Love the earthy, cozy, spacious decor and ambience. There's plenty of seating, and is a great place to work or come with friends. The bathrooms are clean, the bartenders are helpful and the music isn't too loud. They have flagship, seasonal and guest beers. This visit, I tried the hibiscus saison, one of their flagship beers and it taste like a true blue saison with a subtle and lovely hint of hibiscus. They have pretzels but on certain days a food truck is outside. If hungry, there's a pizza place right around the corner and they allow us to bring food in. There's also outdoor seating.Love this place and when we're in town, it's a must-stop-in!

The taproom space is legit. Really nice layout and use of space. Unfortunately the proverbial carpet (beer) doesn't match the drapes. Beer we tried was just ok, tried an IPA and pale ale. Can't help wonder if the beer lines are not as clean as I would hope. Going with 4 stars as maybe it was just our choice of beers and will try something else if I return to Mason City.

Visiting Mason City from Utah and I have a hobby of visiting any local breweries I can find when traveling, so I had to stop in Fat Hill Brewing. The decor was amazing, the atmosphere was super fun and inviting, and the employees were incredibly friendly, but the best part was that after a flight and several pints of different varieties, there wasn’t a single beer that I didn’t fawn over. I was particularly fond of their Rongorongo NEIPA, but the German lager with honey, sour ale, smoked stout, porter and more were all winners. If you’re a craft beer enthusiast and you find yourself in or around Mason City, this is absolutely worth a stop with a growler or two in hand.

I went to Fat Hill to meet some friends. I ordered a drink that was not to my liking at all. I asked the bartender if she could please switch it to something else hoping she would help me out. Her response was, "No, can't you give it to a friend?" I'll never go back. I ended up drinking a water until my friends drank their beer and we all left.
