For a town with at least 16 Mexican restaurants, this is our second favorite, and the one we go to when we don't want to end up waiting for a table. The restaurant is always clean & bright and the servers are very helpful with a good attitude. We will be back!

We went here to eat instead of Las Palmas due to them letting a party of 10, in front of us when we had a party of 10 just because they spoke some spanish.I had the Hawaiian Fajitas, I highly highly recommend you eat here. Their chips and salsa is highly addictive. Eat here!!

Deluxe enchiladas could improve a lot, the sauce could be made with natural ingredients for a better flavor, in general more natural and fresh ingredients would improve everything, even for the drink (horchata). The atmosphere is very good.
Vallarta's is a solid Mexican restaurant among a number of options in Mason City. I visited with family and friends during the Thanksgiving weekend with a group of 10. The servers were friendly and helpful. The menu had the classics that you see in most Mexican restaurants with a few variations that were uniquely theirs. The food not only looked good, but was very tasty and our group left satisfied (and a few carried leftovers because of the portions of their meals!). Definitely on the list of good places to return with family when I'm back in the area.
