“Nestled in the heart of Muscatine you will find the most wonderful Italian Trattoria serving up their mouthwatering exquisite food. The pizza is the BEST around! There are many pasta choices, as well as delicious desserts. The ambience is friendly with amazing staff, which include the owner’s sons. Since finding this treasure, we visit at least once a week. The owners have created an atmosphere like none other! My husband & I absolutely highly recommend this beautiful restaurant! Delicious!“
“Was there for a surprise birthday party. The atmosphere was great, they had the table set tastefully. The service was excellent for the table of 20. I only rated the food four stars because they had done a special party buffet for us. The food was delicious, but I have not ordered smaller plates from the menu. I expect they are even better. Definitely will stop back in.“
“First time visitor and will definitely be back to try more dishes. Small restaurant setting but plenty of elbow room and I liked the raised ceilings. It made it seem bigger and not so crampy. The waitress was nice and answered our questions as we had them. When we paid she introduced us to Dom (?) and told him we were first timers.. Salad is basic...romaine and dressing.I got the chicken parmigiana and my husband got the manicotti. I tried a bite of his and it was yummy and the sauce was great. The chicken (and this is more of a preference) was not as crispy as I expected it to be and the sauce was perfect. Simple and just enough.We arrived around 5:45 on a Friday night and it was not busy yet so dishes came out quickly. The restaurant did start to fill up as we ate. We heard they have take and bake pizzas and after seeing several cooked ones go out the door we will definitely do that sometime. Dom (?) suggested that they freeze well and would be nice when the weather turns bad for winter and we don't want to get out of the house.Restaurant was wheelchair accessible but I don't know if it would work for the placement of the chairs and tables to make it work for the handles of the wheelchair not to get caught by the waiter/waitresses or be too close to the table's chair and patron behind us.Parking: Street parking seemed to be ample for a Friday night.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs restaurant, not auto doors and two doors to get into the restaurant.“
“We had the lunch buffet when we stopped here. A little off the main street but not hard to find. We were pleasantly surprised to find the lunch buffet was only around $9.50 for seniors!! Bonus considering many places are over $12 . The lady at the counter was extremely pleasant and accommodating. She told us a large group had just left, but the buffet was fully restocked and had many great choices. The dining room and rest rooms were very clean. There were only 5 other tables of customers there at that time, but it was quiet and good food.When we left, she was visiting with a regular customer but made sure to stop and thank us for coming in. One of the better pizza buffets we have had in a long time and price was great!“
“First time at Sal Vitale’s and everything was AMAZING! I really wish this Italian Ristorante was 40 miles closer to the Quad Cities. Honestly, worth the drive if you’re looking for quality Italian dishes or searching for great pizza. We could not decide on pizza or pasta so we ordered both. So glad too!Actually, thought the sausage pizza was one of the best. They make their own Italian sausage too. And their artisan crust is definitely a great mix of crispy but chewy. Love!Ordered Norino’s Seafood Pasta. Such a rich and creamy dreamy sauce on fettuccine with crab and shrimp. Magnifico!Lastly, we completed our meal with a delicious piece of tiramisu. All fabulous!Our waiter, Alex, was very attentive, and made sure we had a great experience.We definitely will make the trip back to Sal Vitale’s in Muscatine Iowa soon to try other yummy items!Parking: Plenty of parking during afternoon hours“
