Dutch letters were amazing but scones where a big disappointment (dry and not tasty). The strudels were ok.So only recommend picking up a few dutch letters and for everything else just go down the street as there are prettier bakeries!
We love Vander Ploeg! It’s bakery “next door” neighbor Jaarsma might be more popular and have a larger offering but we prefer VP for the items we love most. We drive 50 miles just to get their sugar cookies. ? My husband is an aficionado of sugar cookies and he says they’re the absolute best. We were told to go here as there's a more popular bakery in town but they said the Dutch letters are their favorite here. It was Pella's holiday weekend so there was a lot of people. The line was long and I wish they had more than 2-3 people working behind the counter because the line went extremely slow.
