“We are on the Mexican food challenge and we've been eating at every Mexican restaurant in Sioux City in South Sioux weekly. We're about 10 to 15 deep and plenty to go but so far this is the best. At least my dish was my favorite. The chips were warm and the red sauce was good. The margarita was excellent. My wife had fajitas which were very good! The el Matador was amazing!!“

“This eatery has got to be the UGLIEST LOOKING place I have ever driven up to! It was SO ugly and looked too small to even hold a restaurant....but there was a good rating and there were vehicles in the lot. Went inside with my somewhat reluctant husband to find a cozy yet spacious enough little Mexican cafe! The help was gracious and helpful. Food was REALLY good and portions were generous. The bathroom was clean and cutely decorated. Definitely will go here again!“

Amazing place and right off interstate 29 so a quick jump off and back on. So much better than eating McDonalds on your trip. Call ahead and use the drive thru for a quick stop.“

The atmosphere does remind me of a cafeteria which is kind of a bummer for me I wish they had booth options for seating but they do not. The street corn dishes are rich and cheesy with a choice of crumbs for the top. We chose the Taki crumble for ours and it was delicious. The mangonada was so good with a nice spicy kick!“

“Okay so this place is amazing! Food came out hot and quick. We got mango habanero wings and the home pizza - both were great! Can’t wait to return and try other amazing food. There’s a young boy helping out there that is so sweet too, he gave friendly service and told us to mix ketchup with their house made orange colored sauce and boy was that ever good too.“

“I love Monterrey. Very affordable. I love how they have two locations on two sides of Sioux City, it’s very easy to access. I get the Beef Classic fajitas. Never can go wrong with their cheese dip! Tastes perfect with their chips and I even put some over my fajitas too! Very fast as well!“
