“Stepping into the Diving Elk, you feel sophisticated. This gem is one of Sioux City's best as far as restaurants and bars go in the area with an evolving, seasonal menu that will make you want to try something new every time you visit! Don't sleep on the classics like the truffle fries and brussel sprouts though, there's a reason those always stay. Also try out their weekend specials! After your visit, you'll know why this place consistently has a "Siouxland's Best Bar Tender" nominee. They are experts in their craft with an incredible selection of cocktails and craft beers. Sioux City is lucky to have such a trendy, vibrant spot for the foodies out here.“
“Great food, great cocktails, local beers on tap and a staff that truly cares! How crazy is it that Sioux City has a place you can bring in your favorite vinyl to play while enjoying a local beer? The food and cocktail menu is imaginative and well executed every time!“
“This is a great small dive bar/sports bar. The employees are always nice. Small town bar feel. But they also have shows/ entertainment from music to comedy every once in a while as well. Also, it's home of a great brewery, so if you're into trying to beers, it's a good place to go. For the Food, they have my favorite Pineapple brats. Definitely recommend!“
“Cool place, volleyballl court out back when weather is nice, indoor smoking area for when it’s not. Covered patio out front and pinball, pool, darts, arcade table, the works. My first visit was last night. H U G E shout out to Mike and Bobby for helping me get not only my credit card but phone back well before the bar even opened. Cannot recommend enough not just for the atmosphere but the people.“
“My husband, and I, pls my best friend, had gone there, for their delicious pizzas, the service was fast, and the waitresses were friendly, and made sure our glasses were always full. The pizzas were amazing!!! They came to us piping hot, within a short time. We’d definitely recommend this place, if anyone wants to eat in downtown Sioux City. We’d definitely be going back, we usually go to Old Chicago, but I’d rather support a local business. And now we know where to go, since we always go downtown, to the Palmers candy store. And you can’t forget their one of a kind decor, lots of old signs, that brings you back, to the good old days.“
