“Husband and I went a few weeks ago. Excited to see Solon has a great sushi and pho place around. We opted for sushi this round but excited to try the pho next. The rolls were excellent and the octopus balls were pretty tasty. Will be coming back again!!”
“The whole family LOVES El Sol. We frequent this location roughly once every 10 days. The specials change if you want to try something new and the menu favorites are consistent and delicious.Happy Hour until 6 and they have several authentic Mexican choices for drinks as well. Staff is great.Kid-friendliness: There are a couple kid specific options in addition to regular menu selection.”
“What an absolutely delightful discovery! Not being a Solon resident, this was new for me, but I will return! The unwich was truly lovely, especially with the added greens and bacon. The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful!”
“Love the food, service and atmosphere...ordered the kale and salmon salad. The salmon did not seem thoroughly cooked. Otherwise, all was great for this beautiful place.”
“Me and my fiancé just had a little breakfast date here and it was one of the best cafe experiences I’ve had in a long time. The ladies at the counter were very polite, we both had lavender vanilla lattes, sausage egg and cheese cinnawichs and a blueberry muffin and all of it was so good. The atmosphere was amazing. Overall an amazing experience!! Will be back!!”
“Traveled from Davenport, IA to have great Thai food. Amazing taste, presentation, atmosphere, and customer service. They treat you like you are family. 5 stars. Cannot get better taste in the surrounding areas. Will be back soon.”
“New watering hole in Solon....lots of TV's and carries ALL of the games, including recent Paramount, etc scam subscription services. An active place so far for Solon...... check it out.”
“Workers are great especially Drake. He was fast and efficient, and he had a good attitude. Most of the other subways have terrible workers and they’re not nice at all. Keep up the good work.Parking: Parking was amazing”
“Great place to eat. Friendly staff. We ate breakfast this morning, and had a small issue. The manager came right over to see what she could do to make it right. I highly recommend this restaurant if your ever in Solon they have something for everyone.”
“If you're looking for for a basket of wings in Solon, you'd be hard pressed to find a better dozen than Leo puts out! Perfectly fried, then tossed in buffalo sauce, BBQ or just plain, they're meaty, tender and flavorful. The perfect accent to a cold beverage and your ballgame. In house or to go, these wings are can't miss!”
“They are very friendly and helpful with large orders. Every order is well packaged, rarely missing anything if ever, tastes really good, and they offer to help you to your car with large orders.”
“Great selection of bourbons, whiskeys, and ryes. And gins and tequilas. I did not have the Pappy Van Winkle, but it's available. Nice selection of cocktails. Bring your own food.”
“Family Owned & Operated with TLC. Tremendously Good! Our go to in North Central Iowa! Love this place!Vegetarian options: Gluten Frees, Comprehensive Vegi soups and Salads”
“This is an unassuming place. It was EXCELLENT!! SUPER CLEAN!! First time trying African food. We ordered a variety like tripe soup, yam stew with lamb, grilled goat with salad, fufu. It was all so good!! It did take time as there was only 1 person working but it was worth it!! The hibiscus juice was divine!”
“Funcrest has become one of our favorite places to eat in the summertime! We have a boat at the marina and often stop for an ice cream treat or supper. Their daily specials are fantastic! If you're in the area, it's a must stop!”
“I love this jersey mikes. The workers are always over the top friendly, efficient, and everything is always fresh and tastes great. The inside is always clean and a fairly busy location.”
“The food is amazing, anything you get will be great. Drinks are also awesome. The waiting staff is wonderful and I have never had a problem with anyone there in the probably 100 times I've been there. Clean and tidy restaurant, selection of tvs with different things playing. During Covid they had the best system that I witnessed during the pandemic when all things closed and I picked up food for my family close to once a week during that. This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant, and you know that means something with how many we have”
“I love their ice cream flavors, And their other options, Great Service They are Pretty nice ! Love the blueberry cheesecake flavor it’s always so good, and love going there for a treat all the time w my family ! :)”
“Went with some friends who had heard great things. The food was outstanding. My husband ordered Ramen in a blanket (ramen noodles on a plate topped with tonkatsu I believe) by mistake thinking he had ordered regular ramen but he says it was the best misorder ever and he is definitely ordering again next time. I had the teriyaki salmon poke bowl and it was so flavorful and filling without being too much. Their pickles are amazing, the gyoza was amazing, and the atmosphere is so laid back. A little pricey but when you go with friends one person pays for the whole table via their online ordering and payment, which is fine just a little unexpected. Either way we will be going back!”
“This place has been a staple in the iowa city area as long as I can remember. It's the kind of bar where, if you're local you'll know someone there. Juke box, pool, arcade games. The staff is always friendly and fast. Always a good time!Kid-friendliness: Tables and a kids menu”
“Great sushi for very reasonable prices! Looking forward to coming back and trying the bowls sometime too!Dietary restrictions: Was able to substitute for df options on rolls.”
“Very clean and organized. Friendly waitresses . Prompt food service and delicious pizza ! 8 ovens that can hold up to 9 pizzas each ! It is a very popular restaurant. They have frozen pizza for take out too.”
“This is a great little coffee shop. I had a Turkish blend dark roast with a shot of espresso and it was fantastic. Also one of the cleanest public bathrooms in a coffee shop I have ever experienced. I would definitely poop here if I had to.According to signage and the surroundings, they're very bicycle and dog friendly as well.”
“Hipster parents rejoice! Driving across the middle of the country, needing vaccination, gas, and playtime? This is the joint. You will doubt a coffee shop attached to a gas station could be any kind of acceptable, but this is a diamond in the cornfield. Great coffee, food to accommodate all dietary restrictions/limitations/desires, and a rad play area for kids. Hooray!”
“I didn’t know what to expect walking in, but I had the Iowan burrito and my partner had the quesadilla and we both loved it. Tortillas were pressed in front of us and all the ingredients were fresh. Highly recommend.”
“This is our favorite go to Irish pub in Coralville. Reasonable prices, outstanding and friendly service and a really nice beer selection. The atmosphere is a typical strip mall location, but they have made it as welcoming as they can and the staff and food more than make up for the atmosphere.”
“30 hop is an amazing restaurant with a great selection and atmosphere. Brett, our waiter, was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive to our table. The bottomless mimosas are great! I recommend the cran-orange mimosa!”
“Really nice food, pizza is amazing.Just wanted to make a note that when I ordered from Door Dash the food was tampered with and one of the pieces of pizza was removed from the box before I received it.I doubt it left the restaurant this way.Door Dash is not much help.Drivers name is Simon.”
“One of my favorite places to eat popusas and corn atole and of course my fried plantain. The service is very good and friendly. When I go I always leave feeling comfortable.”
“Amazing fresh baked goods! Very cute inside, only wish there was room for dine-in. Picture is of their delicious cinnamon rolls. We also had the cherry bars which were the best we’ve ever had!”
