“I used to come through a lot in 2014 going to Iowa city for chemo. First time going inside. I love that they did not switch to the new menu from last year. And they have a unique menu with tacos and nachos. We're going to stop by more often as I am in the process of getting a new prosthetic leg in Iowa city. My 1 yo loved the fries and the nice staff“

“Food about as good as Wendy's, not as good as Culver's/Freddy's. Good shakes. Had a great server, but cashier system is a failure. Either have a dedicated cashier or have my server do it.Edit (7 years later): as steakburgers and fries go, still doesn't match up well with Freddy's. It's as far below that as McDonald's is below this. Kiosk system works fine. Burger probably shouldn't have any pink. Will update if it comes up later.“

“For fast food, this place is exceptional. Good is great for price, people are nice, rarely a line or wait, fabulous pup cups. This is literally the only restaurant with a window I will patronize. My only complaint is I sometimes get sweet tea when I order unsweetened tea.“

“We stopped in to grab some food on a Saturday night. The place was packed but the service was great. We didn't wait long to order our food and barely found a seat by the time the food was ready. “I love Dairy Queen. Growing up in Iowa it was always a summertime treat, but now that I've moved to California they are hard to come by. Now whenever I return to Iowa I can't pass by a DQ without stopping in. This past summer, as we were taking the slow road from Iowa City up to Shueyville, we spotted this place. It's located in odd little strip mall that's constructed to look more like apartments than businesses. We walked past the dog that was enjoying the remains of a shake on the sidewalk as a little girl wept nearby and entered the establishment. This DQ had everything you'd expect and want - Blizzards, Dilly Bars, banana splits, dipped cones, Peanut Buster Parfaits, etc. They also had a hot food menu with the typical stuff as well - burgers, chili dogs, chicken strips, fries, lumpia... I'm sorry, what was that last item? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the Dairy Queen in the Beaver Kreek Center in North Liberty, Iowa serves lumpia. How could we not try it? With a name like "Yolly's world famous homemade lumpia", you'd be nuts to pass it up, especially at $2.75 for 3. It's too bad we had literally just finished a pretty sizable lunch otherwise we might have gotten more than just one order. There are chicken, pork, vegetable, and cream cheese lumpia available. We ordered the pork. Folks, this stuff is legit. They were fried up fresh and came out piping hot. Wonderfully crisp skin, generous in size - we absolutely loved them. We took one back to my mom and mentioned Yolly's name - it turns out they know each other from the distant past when they used to attend the same picnics. Definitely worth the trip. Oh, and the ice cream is really good too.“

“Having this place near my work is so helpful. I get 30 minutes for my lunch break and I go here every time. It’s convenient and closer than the food court. The owners are so generous too! If you were hungry they would take care of you. I just stopped by today because it’s become a comfort place and I was low on funds to get anything so they took what I could afford and told me pay when you can. I’m so grateful.“

“My son and I have celiac, so eating out is a luxury! When we ordered the lettuce wrapped burger, they asked if it was preference or allergy. Told them about having celiac, it went on our order and IMMEDIATELY gloves were changed and they made sure all was separate and safe!! Awesome staff and AMAZING food!! “Staff here was great! A group of friends and I went on a motorcycle trip when we met a large storm in Mt Vernon. We stored our bikes in the car wash and used the bathroom at subway. The staff offered us to sit inside without needing to purchase anything and even offered us free cookies!?“

“Good location and cool atmosphere for a fast food joint. We go here often for the ice cream. I would not recommend the food. Have some patience because high school kids run the shop, and they may fat finger an order on the register or something. However, we all start somewhere and they do a good job with all things considered. Make sure to tip 'em.“
